They said; “We will return to our Lord anyhow”.
Tafsir
Believing in this miracle, the magicians said to Pharaoh that we will be returned to the Lord of the worlds. In other words, no one on earth has been spared from death, so we will not be spared either. Since all living beings die, we too will die and go to give an account to Allah who created us. Whether it is a day before or a day after, it makes no difference to us. Because we have seen the truth, we have tasted the taste of faith.

Verse 125, Surah Al-A'raf, verse 125: They said, we will return to our Lord anyway. Those, what do the magicians say? The magicians who believed in the face of this miracle, (?), said: we will anyway be returned to the Lord of the worlds. That is, no one on earth has escaped death, so why should we escape? Since all living things die, we too will die and go to Allah who created us to give account. Whether a day earlier or a day later, it makes no difference to us.
