(Oh Muhammad) choose the path of forgiveness, order goodness and turn away from the ignorant ones.
Tafsir
Allah (swt) addressed the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) and at the same time addressed those who believe and have faith, saying, "Be forgiving of people's mistakes, forgive their mistakes. If you follow or oppose them and quarrel with them, things will be filled with corruption. Since no human being can change the destiny of any human being, do not follow such people. Only entrust them with the truth and command them to do good.
(Turn away from the ignorant), they are not hearing and knowing the truth. The meaning of ignorant here is people who have denied the truth and are swimming in the swamp of disbelief. These are the people who are the equivalent of the verse of the Qur'an in which it says (hatemAllah'u 'ala kulubihim wa ala semihim wa ala ebsarihim ğışaveh wa lehum azabun azim). These are the people who disbelieved and did not recognize Allah (swt), who had their ears plugged, their eyes veiled from seeing the truth, and their hearts sealed in accordance with their own desires and wishes. These are the people who do not turn to the eternal truth.
For such people Allah says: Turn away from the ignorant. No matter how much you tell them the truth, you will not be able to influence them and you will only increase their disbelief. It is out of the mercy of Allah (swt) that He has protected such people by telling the people who believe and have faith, "Do not follow them, turn away from them", so that such people do not increase their disbelief and commit more sins, showing that His mercy is for everyone in the universe.
What is said in the video
Verse 199: "My Messenger, take the path of forgiveness, enjoin what is good and turn away from the ignorant," it says. Turn away from the ignorant. Every word of the learned is coral and pearl. Every word of the ignorant hurts a thousand souls a day, it says. Well, what does it say? Take the path of forgiveness; forgiving people means taking on the character of
Allah Almighty. Here, since the Prophet (peace be upon him) knows that people were not created free of error, and since he too came (?) as a mercy to the worlds, because of their errors, Allah Almighty says to the Prophet: them forgive. Take the path of forgiveness, enjoin what is good, it says. And turn away from the ignorant. Allah Almighty, addressing the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and at the same time addressing man and those who believe: be forgiving of people's errors, you. Pardon their errors. If you too follow them or oppose them and argue, everything will be drowned in corruption.
Since no person can change any person's destiny, such people, do not follow. Only convey the truth, enjoin good on them, He commands. Yes.
According to His verse saying turn away from the ignorant, these are not hearers and knowers of the truth. By the ignorant here, people who have denied the truth and swim in the swamp of kufr are meant. In one verse, Hatemallâhu alâ: they (?) this part wrong. Hatemallâhu alâ kulûbihim ve alâ sem'ihim ve alâ ebsârihim gışâvetün ve lehüm azâbün azim; it needs correcting, it was written wrong. Hatemallâhu alâ kulûbihim ve alâ sem'ihim ve alâ ebsârihim gışâvetün ve lehüm azâbün azîm: they are the people this verse refers to. These are probably people who, denying Allah Almighty and not knowing Him, in line with their own desires and wishes have let their ears be stopped, let a veil be drawn over their eyes as to seeing the truth, as to seeing, and let their hearts be sealed.
These people cannot turn to the eternal truth. Nor can they see the eternal truth, and however many nails you hammer into their heads, they cannot turn back from what they know. Because they are programmed that way now. For such people Allah Almighty commands: turn away from the ignorant. Otherwise, in Islam there are no ignorant. Islam has no ignorant. Whoever knows Allah is saved from ignorance. The ignorant one is Satan. He commands: turn away from the ignorant. However much of the truth you tell them, you cannot affect them, and you also increase such people's kufr. It is out of Allah Almighty's mercy that, so that such people do not increase their kufr and fall into much sin, by telling the believing and faithful people: do not follow them, turn away from them, He again protects these people, and that His mercy in the universe is for everyone He shows.
