Translation

And if a blessing from Allah reaches you, they say; “I wish I was with them and gained a great victory!”, as if there were no (apparent) friendship between you and them.

Tafsir

When those who wage jihad, who fight for Allah in the way of Allah, achieve success, that is, when they win the war, those who do not want to go to jihad regret it. In order to express their regrets, they confess to themselves, as if they have no connection with the people who came from the jihad, and wish that I had been with them and had achieved great success.

Allah does not command oppression, whatever He commands is for the comfort and salvation of people. Since He knows the state of people and what they will say and their regrets, He orders people to take precautions by informing them of the events that will happen to them in advance. This is to show the greatness and omniscience of Allah (swt). Moreover, because of the incompleteness of man's intellect, Allah guides people with His verses in order to teach them what they do not know and to guide them.

People's weakness of faith prevents them from fulfilling Allah's commands. Those who turn away from the command of Allah, those who do not wage jihad, even though they are related and belong to the same nation, are separated from those who wage jihad and help in the way of Allah out of love for wealth and life. They take on nafsani actions and seek ways to justify themselves through the temptations of the nafs and the devil. They try to deceive themselves into believing that their way is the right way, even if they themselves do not believe in it. At the end of it all, they feel a sense of loser and regret among such people. Allah declares His Verses to His servants so that people do not fall into these situations.

What is said in the video

Sir, Surah An-Nisa, verse 73. The verse: If a grace from Allah reaches you, as if there were no apparent friendship between you and him, if only I had been with them, so that I too had won a great success, he says. When those who strive, who fight for Allah in the way of Allah, achieve a success, that is, when they win the war, those who did not want to go to jihad become regretful. To voice their regret, as if they had no bond with the people coming back from jihad, confessing to themselves, they say: if only I too had been with them and attained great successes. Yes, Allah does not will wrong for man, nor does He command wrong.

Whatever He commands, He commands for people's ease and safety. Since He knows people's states and what they will say, their regrets, He informs them in advance of events that will befall them and commands them to take precautions. This is to show Allah Almighty's greatness and that He knows everything. Allah Almighty tells the words of people who will come until the Day of Judgment. Also, since man's intellect was created deficient, Allah, to teach man what he does not know and to bring them to guidance, shows people the way with His verses.

People's weakness of faith keeps people from carrying out Allah's commands. Those who stray from Allah's command, who do not strive, though they are relatives and of the same nation, out of love of property and life break away from those who strive like this and help in the way of Allah. Taking on the movements of the nafs, with the temptation of the nafs and Satan, they look for ways to justify themselves. Even though they themselves do not believe it, as if the path they took were right, they deceive themselves and try to make themselves believe it. And so in the end such people feel humiliation and regret among people.

So that people do not fall into these situations, Allah makes His verses clear to His servants. Yes.
