We have sent Messengers as givers of glad tidings and of warnings, so that people would have no argument against Allah after the Messengers. Allah is Exalted in Might (Azeez) and All-Wise (Hakeem).
Tafsir
It is for His mercy that He sends His Prophets to mankind, and it is for His mercy that He says, "With the intellect I have given to mankind, mankind should have known Me, but they became more interested in the world and forgot their Lord, remind them of the days with their Lord, O Messenger of Allah." His Prophets and His Books are for Allah to shed light before mankind and remind them of their Lord. Otherwise He does not need people's worship nor does He need them to know Him. Allah is free from the worlds, He is Hay and His creatures are in need of Him.
That is why He sent Prophets and Books to mankind with good tidings and warnings, so that they would not say after the Prophets that we did not know about them. Allah is the Owner of Glory. No one can speak an iota against Allah or find fault with Him. This shows that Allah is the All-Knowing. He informs us that He is honored with His knowledge. Therefore, deficiency and imperfection are in the creatures. The Creator is exempt from all kinds of deficient attributes. He has wisdom in His judgment. He has no empty work and no empty creation. He has wisdom towards His creatures. Allah knows what He has created and for what purpose.
What is said in the video
As bearers of good news and warners, as fitting, We sent prophets. Surah An-Nisa, verse 165. We sent prophets as bearers of good news and warners, as fitting, so that people have no excuse against Allah after the prophets. Allah is the possessor of might and wisdom. Yes.
Allah Almighty's sending prophets to people is out of His mercy to them. With the intellect He gave people, people should have known Me, but they increased their interest in the world and forgot their Lord. His saying 'O My Beloved, remind them of the days spent with their Lord' means that the prophets and books are for Allah Almighty to shed light before people and to remind them of their Lord. Now, Hodja, you might ask something like this. 'With the intellect He gave people, people should have known Me,' says Allah Almighty; when they increased their interest in the world, they forgot their Lord. 'O My Beloved, remind them of the days spent with their Lord.' What is this hadith? The hadith of Elestü bi-Rabbiküm.
With the intellect I gave you, Me should have been known, but you could not know. So I sent you prophets; those prophets say to those communities: O communities, O people, remember the days spent with your Lord, remember the Elestü bi-Rabbiküm covenant, remember the days you made a pact with your Lord. How will I remember? Through the verses. In the unseen believe, it says; believe in the unseen. This here is a world of the unseen. Ah — if you reform your nafs, if you strike back and make your way out, back again, if you rise up to the nafs-i mutmainne, you become aware of the divine manifestations.
You see Allah Almighty's manifestations. If you rise to the nafs-i raziye, there you become aware of His knowledge. If you rise to the nafs-i marziye, with the knowledge Allah Almighty has given you, you explain the verses to people. If you rise to the nafs-i safiye, you attain certain secrets. And so that you can see these, in that nafs-i raziye, in the ilme'l- yakîn state, Allah Almighty's — at the Elestü bi-Rabbiküm covenant — state, you see. For Allah there is no attributing qualities. You cannot attribute qualities to Allah.
Yes.
In that case, Allah Almighty — are there such people in the world? How could there not be? How could there not be? If there weren't, this world would break apart like this and head toward its end in a strange way. Allah could not complete His religion. Yes.
Otherwise, neither of people's worship nor of their knowing Him is there any need for Allah Almighty. Allah is independent of the worlds, free of them. He is the Ever-Living (Hayy). His creatures are in need of Him. Let's read this paragraph again, from you. Allah Almighty's sending His prophets to people is out of His mercy to them. With the intellect He gave people, people should have known Me. When they increased their interest in the world, they forgot their Lord. His saying 'O My Beloved, remind them of the days spent with their Lord' means the prophets and books are for Allah Almighty to shed light before people and remind them of their Lord.
Otherwise He has no need of people's worship nor of their knowing Him. Allah is independent of the worlds, free of them; He is the Ever-Living; what He created is in need of Him. What does (?) mean? Allah Almighty is free of what He created, that is, outside time and space; all created things, these worlds, these seven heavens encircled by the Throne of Allah, are in need of Allah Almighty. And Allah Almighty is constantly at the task of giving to people, feeding, giving drink, protecting, keeping that program going — on duty. When the Prophet was ascending in the Miraj, he heard a word: 'O Muhammad, your Lord is performing salat,' it says.
So when the Prophet ascended in the Miraj, that is, when he came into Allah Almighty's presence — our Lord outside time and space, and the Prophet at the most remote corner, the farthest corner of the heavens — when he met Allah Almighty: 'O Muhammad, you did not tell what you heard,' He says. 'You know better than I, O Lord of the Worlds,' he says. Thereupon He says: I have no need to pray. The salat here is, toward all I created, giving life, protecting, feeding, giving drink — My being on duty, He says. Yes. So His sending to people, as bearers of good news and warners, prophets and books is so that after the prophets they do not say 'we knew nothing of these' — that is why. Allah is the possessor of might.
No one can speak even an atom's weight against Allah, and in deficiency He cannot be found.
This shows that Allah is All-Knowing. It tells us that He is mighty through His knowledge. So deficiency and fault lie in what is created. The Creator, however, is free of every deficient attribute. Now here a thought like this may come to your mind. What do we say? If there is no deficiency in Allah, if He is complete — then, we say, deficiency and fault lie in what is created. Deficiency and fault lie in what is created. The Creator is free of all deficient attributes. If He is free of deficient attributes, why did He create the created deficient? When we say 'the created' here, count both the creatures and man.
Our Lord has completed the creatures for the duty they will do. He has given; for the duty it will do, a trait that could do that duty better, no one can imagine. Man — He created the animal that way. What is lacking in the animal? Its intellect is lacking. It has (?). With some characteristics, He added whatever amount it is. According to the duty it will do. Man has been created honored above the worlds. This time He created man too with his intellect lacking. Why? If He had created it complete, he would be a creator like Allah. Allah would have created beings equal to His Self. So in this case Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes, self-subsisting, the one owner of the worlds, Allah, the absolute power and absolute ruler.
The others, who will seek their need in Him, within the awareness of our Lord, in what they will do — that is, through the deficiency of the intellect given to people, people and other creatures are deficient. And this part is thus known. Yes. That part we read once more, then. That He is mighty through His knowledge it tells us. So deficiency and fault lie in what is created; the created, however, is free of every deficient attribute — yes, the Creator, the Creator is free of every deficient attribute. He is wise in His rulings. Nothing He does and nothing He creates is in vain. The created — is wise toward what He created.
Allah knows what He created and why. Yes.
Yes.
