Tafsir
The bird, the Hudhûd, continues to inform Hazrat Salayman 'alaihis-salâm' about the people of Seba and the woman who is their ruler. (I saw her and her people prostrating themselves to the sun, leaving Allah); Even a bird knows Allah, Who created it. According to the verse (The heavens and the earth and all that is between them know the remembrance of their Lord), since Allah (swt) has programmed all of His creatures, other than humans and jinn, to recognize their Creator for their deeds, all creatures recognize and remember their Lord. Humans and jinn are responsible for their deeds in the sight of Allah, since they are intended to know their Lord of their own volition, and they have the ability to earn rewards and sins.
In this respect, the people who prostrated themselves to the sun instead of their Lord continued to tell Hadrat Solomon 'alaihis-salâm', saying: "Satan has made their deeds seem beautiful to them and has kept them from the right path. That is why they cannot find the right path. The fact that even a bird knows that Satan is an enemy of human beings shows us that Allah (swt) has informed all of His creatures about Satan, who rebels against Allah (swt) and is an enemy of human beings. The creatures programmed by Allah (swt) are not dominated by Satan.
Even though man knows that Satan is his enemy, because the human will is in his own hands, and because Satan shows man the ways to please his ego, and because man, in his egoism and pride, does what he likes, and because it gives him pleasure, man forgets his Lord and becomes a follower of Satan. This people also followed Satan and prostrated themselves to the sun.
What is said in the video
In Surah An-Naml, verse 24, it says: I saw that she and her people prostrate to the Sun instead of Allah. Now the hoopoe answers Solomon. What does it say? I saw that she and her people prostrate to the Sun instead of Allah. Satan has made their deeds seem fair to them and has kept them from the right path. That is why they cannot find the right path, it says. The hoopoe continues to inform Solomon (peace be upon him) about the people of Sheba and about the woman who is their ruler. In saying "I saw that she and her people prostrate to the sun instead of Allah", even though it is a bird, it knows Allah, who created it.
How does it know? Because Allah Almighty, apart from jinn and humans, when creating all these creatures, created all creatures in such a way that they remember His Essence, that they know Allah. Except humans and jinn. Why? He gave them their will and wanted them to know their Lord by their own will. For this reason, since there is a soul in humankind too, and since in no other being is there a soul, Allah Almighty created humankind as the noblest of creatures. Lekad halaknel insâne fî ahseni takvîm. I created man in the most beautiful form, He says. "The heavens and the earth and what is between them have known the remembrance of their Lord": according to this verse, since Allah Almighty has programmed all that He created, other than humans and jinn, according to the tasks they are to do, so as to recognize their Creator, all created beings recognize their Lord and remember Him.
Since it is intended that humans and jinn know their Lord by their own will, and since they are subject to earning reward and sin, they are, in the sight of Allah, for what they do responsible. For this reason, the hoopoe, about the people who had left their Lord and were prostrating to the sun, continuing to tell Solomon (peace be upon him), said: Satan has made their deeds seem fair to them and has kept them from the right path. That is why they cannot find the right path. That even a bird knows that Satan is man's enemy shows us this: Satan, who rebels against Allah Almighty and is hostile to man, Allah Almighty has made known to all the creatures He created.
Satan's authority has no effect on the creatures that Allah Almighty programmed.
And although man knows that Satan is his enemy, because man's will is in his own hands, and because Satan shows the ways that flatter man's nafs to man, and because doing the things he enjoys in egotism and pride gives man a special pleasure, man forgets his Lord, follows Satan's trail, and comes to that state. Yes.
So this people too followed Satan and came to the state of prostrating to the sun.
