“(It states) Do not rebel against me, come to me in submission.”

Tafsir

She informs those around her of what was written in the letter of Solomon. Do not rebel against me, but come to me in submission.

In this letter, Hadrat Solomon 'alaihis-salâm' invites Belkıs, the Queen of Seba, and her people to the Truth. Belkis had heard of Solomon and his fame had spread from the East to the West. In this respect, since Belkis is a wise woman, she makes the situation known to those around her in a subtle way.

What is said in the video

Verse 31: Do not rebel against me, submit and come to me, it says there, he says. What does it say here? Ellâ ta'lû aleyye ve'tûnî müslimîn. Do not rebel against me, submit and come to me, it says. The Queen tells those around her what is written in Solomon's letter. In the letter he commands: Do not rebel against me, come to me in submission, he commands. Now here the Queen is a Muslim, but since she cannot get through to them, she cannot say anything. And since the people follow her completely, they say: whatever you say, we will do it. But to take courage and tell them (?) of the one God, that she cannot do. So the letter gives her the opportunity.

Through this letter she will now convey the truth to them. That is why she gathers them for consultation. In this letter Solomon (peace be upon him) invites the Queen of Sheba, Bilqis, and her people to the truth. Bilqis had heard of the fame of Solomon (peace be upon him). Indeed, Solomon's fame had spread from east to west. So the Queen, Bilqis, being a wise woman, discreetly makes the situation known to those around her.
