Tafsir
When the envoys returned and told the situation to the angel Belkis, the angel Belkis, realizing that Hazrat Solomon 'alaihis-salâm' was a Prophet and that he had nothing to do with worldly wealth, explained the situation to the elders of her people and told them that Hazrat Solomon 'alaihis-salâm' was a Prophet and had a great prophethood, and they set out with many of their people to submit to Hazrat Solomon 'alaihis-salâm' and become a people who knew Allah.
Solomon, who was informed of this situation, addressed the people among his army and said, "Who will be able to bring the throne of Belkis to me before Belkis reaches them? Hadrat Solomon's intention in bringing the throne of Belkis to his homeland was to show Belkis another miracle, to prove his power and Prophethood, and also to check Belkis' level of intelligence.
What is said in the video
In verse 38: Then Solomon said to his counsellors: O nobles! Before they come to me in submission, which of you will bring me that queen's throne? it says. Yes. Now he is saying it to those around him. Look, a prophet, and he does not have the power for it. That is, Allah Almighty has given everyone a knowledge. If he is a prophet, a knowledge to the prophet, but another matter, for example something like bringing the throne from there, He did not give him; otherwise he would have brought her throne here right away in a flash. But what does it say here: Then Solomon said to his counsellors: O nobles, before they come to me in submission, which of you can bring me that queen's throne? it says. I mean, if Solomon wanted, couldn't he bring it?
He does not have that power. But if he wished, he would get it from Allah. But first he holds on to the means. The means are very important, first of all. When the envoys returned and told Queen Bilqis about the situation, Queen Bilqis, understanding that Solomon (peace be upon him) was a prophet and sensing that he had no business with worldly wealth, explained the situation to the leading men of her people and said that Solomon was a prophet and possessed a great prophethood, and together with many of her people they set out to Solomon (peace be upon him) to submit and become a people who know Allah.
Hearing of this, Solomon, addressing the people among his army: Who can bring me Bilqis's throne before Bilqis reaches us? he said. Solomon's purpose in bringing Bilqis's throne to his land was to show Bilqis a further miracle, prove his power and prophethood, and also to test Bilqis's intelligence and knowledge. Because he will change her throne a little. Is this your throne? he will ask. It resembles her throne, yes, it looks like mine, but she won't be able to say, you see. She won't be able to say: It is my throne.
