Translation

While they bear witness against their own disbelief, those who associate partners with Allah will not be the ones to build Allah’s masjids (mosques). All their deeds have gone in vain. They will remain in fire eternally.

Tafsir

While the polytheists and disbelievers who associate partners with Allah prove that they are disobedient to Allah and His Messenger by worshipping what they have made with their own hands, and that they are Christians or Jews and Nazarenes, they have no right to repair and build the mosques of Allah. According to this verse, polytheists and non-Muslims cannot enter Makkah al-Mukarrama and Madinah al-Munawwarah. Their good deeds and good deeds have been in vain.

If such people turn their backs on the Verse (inna'd-dina inda'l-lahi'l-Islam), if they do not follow what Allah says, the Shari'ah rulings, even though there is no religion but Islam in the sight of Allah, even though all religions are gathered in the religion of Islam, if they go against Allah and His Verses, if they do not judge by what Allah says, by the Shari'ah rulings, then all their good deeds in life have been in vain. They will suffer eternal torment in the Hereafter.

When Abbas bin Abdulmuttalib was captured in the battle of Badr and left Islam, the Muslims condemned Abdulmuttalib for breaking relations with his relatives. Hazrat Ali said harsher words. Abbas said: You tell about our bad things and hide our good things. He said: "We are building the Masjid al-Haram, we are guarding the Ka'bah, we are distributing water to the pilgrims and we are releasing the captives. It is said that this verse was revealed thereupon.

What is said in the video

Verse 17. A verse that was interpreted wrongly. Well, Surah At-Tawbah 17. verse, let us see. Here, At-Tawbah Surah, 102nd verse, Surah At-Tawbah 30 17. Those who associate partners with Allah First we read the wrong one. Those who associate partners with Allah, while bearing witness themselves to their own unbelief, have no authority to maintain Allah's mosques. All their works have gone to waste and they will remain in the Fire forever. What did we write? Those who associate partners with Allah, while to their own unbelief they themselves bear witness, are not ones who will maintain Allah's mosques.

They are not ones who will maintain Allah's mosques. What does it say here? They have no authority to maintain Allah's mosques, it says. Allah, Allah. Authority. Well, why? A man sometimes helps. Sometimes he does help. When we help churches, do we become unbelievers? Well, we maintain churches. They also build our mosques, have them built. Today in the (?) of the world, (?), there are those who help too. Among the unbelievers. Well, there are also those who help from their states. They have no authority to maintain Allah's mosques, it says. What had we written there? They are not ones who will maintain Allah's mosques.

That is, (?), they may have set up three or five, but they do not maintain them. Who will maintain them? Those with high ranks in Paradise, it says, maintain them. Those with high ranks in Paradise. All their works have gone to waste. Yes. And they will remain in the Fire forever. What does it say at the end? Even if he helps, it says, all their works have gone to waste, it says. Because if he goes as an unbeliever. Well, they are not ones who will maintain. Even if they maintain, even if they maintain, all their works have gone to waste, it says. But by saying they have no authority, does Allah Almighty, to a person with no authority, give authority?

Here Allah Almighty, according to people's beliefs, the verses within their own will, reminding them quite nicely of what they will do, explains. How beautiful the verses are. Yes.

Those who associate partners with Allah, while bearing witness themselves to their own unbelief, are not ones who will maintain Allah's mosques. All their works have gone to waste and they will remain in the Fire forever, decrees Allah Almighty. The polytheists and unbelievers who associate partners with Allah, their opposing Allah and His Messenger they show by worshipping what they made with their own hands; polytheists, who worship the stone, the soil, the tree, the animal Allah created, the images they shaped and made with their hands, polytheists, while proving their irreligion by saying I am Christian, or Jew and Nazarene, for them, repairing and maintaining Allah's mosques is not a position they are in.

Let us correct this part.

According to this verse, polytheists and non-Muslims cannot enter Mecca al-Mukarrama and Medina al-Munawwara; the good and kind deeds they did have gone to waste. Such people, who turn their backs on the verse Inne'd-dîne inda'llâhi'l-İslâm, though there is no religion but Islam in Allah's sight, though all religions are gathered in the religion of Islam, going against Allah and Allah's verses, if by what is said in Allah's religion, by its Sharia rulings, they do not abide, all the fine things they did in life have come to nothing. In the hereafter they will be subject to eternal punishment.

When Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib was taken captive at the Battle of Badr and left Islam, the Muslims, with Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib's cutting ties with his relatives, reproached Abd al-Muttalib. Hazrat Ali said even harsher words. Abbas said: you mention our bad sides and hide our good sides. We maintain the Masjid al-Haram. We are the keepers of the Kaaba's curtain. We give water to the pilgrims and set captives free, he said. Upon this, this verse was revealed, it is said. However much good you do, the end of it is loss. As long as you do not enter the religion of Islam, you will have prepared your place in the Fire.

You will have bought the eternal life of Hell. Yes.
