While their hearts are void and while they cannot even look at themselves, they will be running, gazing into the sky.
Tafsir
Those who rebelled against Allah while they lived in this world, who denied Allah and the resurrection, who did not expect to be called to account, when they pass into the Hereafter as disbelievers and are resurrected in the Hereafter after the Resurrection, they will see that Allah's promise is true. On that day of reckoning, when they run to be gathered at the Judgment, they run with their eyes fixed on the sky, not looking at themselves, their minds empty from fear, not knowing what to do.
The way they run with their eyes fixed on the sky, without even looking at themselves! It is because they understand the calamities that will befall them. For although Allah (swt) had informed such people through Prophets and Books that they should believe in Allah and the Hereafter, and showed them many miracles through His Prophets, these people mocked and denied the Hereafter and Allah. When they realize that the reckoning they denied in the world is true, when their denial in the world comes to light and what they were told turns out to be true, they look for a savior who will save them, looking for Allah in their imagination by raising their eyes to the sky, even though they are confronted with the truth there again. Even as they rush to judgment, their hearts are still full of doubts and suspicions.
What is said in the video
Verse 43 of Surah Ibrahim With their minds completely empty, unable even to look back at themselves, their eyes fixed on the sky, they run. Pay very close attention to the verse. What do the superstitions say? The superstitions say there is the Sirat Bridge, the Sirat Bridge. Verses showing there is no Sirat Bridge.
When will this manifest? In the hereafter, when the heavens — the heaven another heaven, the earth another earth — when the earth is brought out completely flat, all people are resurrected there, and so, their minds completely empty, unable even to look back at themselves. Unable to look back at themselves. Those running with their eyes fixed on the sky, it says. So where is the Sirat Bridge here? Where to? Are they running to the Sirat Bridge? In the verse after it too, it says there is no veering aside with Israfil. No veering aside with Israfil.
Now, with their minds completely empty, unable even to look back at themselves, their eyes fixed on the sky, they run. Those who, while living in the world, rebelled against Allah, who denied Allah and resurrection, people who did not expect to be called to account — when they pass to the hereafter as disbelievers and after the Day of Judgement, when they are resurrected again in the hereafter, they see that Allah's promise is true. On that Day of Reckoning, to give their account, to gather at the assembly, as they run, their minds empty from fear, bewildered about what to do, not looking at their own state, their eyes fixed on the sky, they run.
Their running with eyes fixed on the sky, without even looking at their own state, comes from their understanding the disasters that will befall them. What do they understand here? Those who said there was no resurrection after death say: Alas, we were wrong. There is resurrection after death after all. Yes. There is resurrection after all. And now, if we are called to account for what we did in the world, woe to us. Yes.
Because although Allah Almighty, through prophets and books, told such people to believe in Allah and the hereafter and, moreover, showed them through the prophets many miracles, these people denied the abode of the hereafter and Allah and mocked. When they realize that the reckoning they denied in the world is true, their denial in the world comes before their eyes, and when it becomes clear that what was said is true, even though they face the truths there too, with their eyes fixed on the sky, searching for the Allah they imagined, they look out for a saviour to save them. Even though they run to the assembly to give account, still their hearts are full of doubt and suspicion.
Yes.
