An-Nahl 35: The ones who associate partners (with Allah) said; “If Allah had desired, neither we, nor our ancestors would have worshipped anyone other than Allah. We also would not have declared anything as unlawful without Allah’s order.” The ones before them also acted like this. Isn’t the duty of the Prophets to only proclaim clearly (Yes, indeed)?

Translation

The ones who associate partners (with Allah) said; “If Allah had desired, neither we, nor our ancestors would have worshipped anyone other than Allah. We also would not have declared anything as unlawful without Allah’s order.” The ones before them also acted like this. Isn’t the duty of the Prophets to only proclaim clearly (Yes, indeed)?

Tafsir

The idolaters who associate partners with Allah, or those who say that Allah is three, or those who call Uzeyr the son of Allah, or those who swim in the darkness of polytheism, saying that if Allah had willed, neither we nor our fathers would have associated partners with Allah, nor would we have forbidden anything without His command; if Allah had willed, He would have created mankind as one nation. And no one could deviate from Allah's will or go against it.

Allah gave mankind his soul and made man a subject of His Essence, leaving him free in his will. There are also servants whom Allah has created within His will and will. These are the angels and all other living and non-living creatures. They were created by Allah's will and will. They complete their duties as they were created to do. Since the human being carries a part of the spirit of Allah, which is not given to any other creature, he has been addressed to Allah and has been created as an equal creature, the most honorable of all creatures.

If people had been created within the will of Allah, if Allah had will over people as He willed, Allah would have been characterized by the words spoken by the disbelievers. People would have a question like this in their minds. Allah created human beings as equal creatures, He gave man his soul, but why did He not leave man free in his own will? If human beings were free in their will, would they have the power to create like Allah? There would be many questions like this, and Allah would be characterized by putting the people He created by His own will into Paradise and Hell.

The fact that Allah created human beings and wants them to know Him is a display of the pinnacle of the art of creation. If a human being makes a device, he cannot make that device do anything without programming it. Allah, on the other hand, without programming the human being He created, He willed that His Essence be known with the intellect He gave to man. He left him free in his will, and man, by his own will and desire, had himself programmed by Allah (swt).

That is why Allah distinguished man from all His creatures and valued him as a fellow creature. Should man forsake this honorable creation and covet a creature that has no will of its own, like an animal or a creature with a yoke on its neck? The people who say, "If Allah had willed, neither we nor our fathers would have worshipped anyone other than Him, nor would we have forbidden anything without His command" are the people who are envious of the verse of Allah (swt) that says, "They are like the four-legged creatures that walk on the earth, even more astray in their course".

(So did those before them. Is there anything upon the prophets but clear and clear communication.) Prophets are only obliged to convey. They are only obliged to announce the command of Allah to the people. Otherwise, they are not capable of miracles nor of changing their destiny. Why do those who believe in Allah and the Hereafter not speak and accuse Allah like those who disbelieve in Allah? Because these people of faith (kalu bela) also knew Allah as Lord. Since they have made a covenant of obedience to Allah, they do not blame Allah like the disbelieving unbelievers. They know that the responsibility for every deed lies with them through their actual actions. The fact that Allah has shown people the truth and has left the choice to man's own discretion by informing him of the right and the wrong paths shows that man has no record to blame Allah for anything.

What is said in the video

We have come to Surah An-Nahl, verse 35. Those who ascribe partners said: Had Allah willed, neither we nor our fathers would have worshipped anything besides Him. They are telling the truth. Had Allah willed, no one could have done anything. But Allah Almighty values the human being so highly that He gives a part of His essence, that is, His spirit, and wants him to know his Lord by his own will. And so no being is as honoured as the human being. I created man in the most beautiful form, He says. We have honoured you above the worlds, He says. If you seek honour and glory, it is with Allah, He says. To whom does He say this? He says it to the human being; He does not say it to any other creature.

Yes, those who ascribe partners said: Had Allah willed, neither we nor our fathers would have worshipped anything besides Him, nor would we have forbidden anything without His command. Those before them did the same. Is anything incumbent on the prophets except clear conveyance? says Allah Almighty. So the idolaters who ascribe partners to Allah, or those who say Allah is three, those who call Ezra the son of Allah and swim in the darkness of shirk, "Had Allah willed, neither we nor our fathers would have ascribed partners to Allah, nor would we have forbidden anything without His command," they say.

Had Allah willed, He would have created people as a single community. And no one could step outside Allah's will or oppose Him. Indeed, Allah Almighty says so too. Had We willed, We would have created a single community, He says. Yes, Allah gave mankind of His spirit, and holding man as His own addressee, He left him free in his will. Allah's willing applies to the servants He created within Allah's willing and will. These are the angels and all the other living and non-living things He created. They were created by Allah's willing, by His intent. They complete the works, the duties they were created for.

Man, above these creations, since he carries of Allah's spirit, given to no other creature, a part, was made Allah's addressee and, as the noblest of creatures, was created; he became the most honoured of all created beings. Allah created the universe He willed. Allah created the creatures He willed. His creatures are able to carry out the duties He willed. He created them that way. Yes, but He did not put their will into their hands. Not even to the angels did He give their will into their hands. Just as we build robots and program them, the angels too are programmed. Among them sins, they are free of sin, they are without gender, they are obedient to Allah's command.

They cannot step outside His command. But man, with a part of His spirit, is Allah's addressee, by his own will earning reward and sin in the presence of his Lord, a creature. If, by the words the deniers spoke, people had been created within Allah's will, if Allah had His will over people by His willing, Allah would be given attributes. A question like this could occur to people: Allah created people as the noblest of creatures, He also gave man of His spirit, but why did He not leave man free in his own will? If people were free in their own will, could they too, like Allah, have the power to create? Such questions could come to people's minds.

Many questions like this arise; and by putting people He created with His own will into Paradise and Hell, Allah Almighty would also be given attributes.

Allah's creating people and wanting His essence to be known through people is His display of the summit of the art of creation. If any person builds a device, without programming it he cannot make that device do any work. But Allah, without programming the human being He created, with the mind He gave him, willed that His essence be known. He left him free in his will, and man by his own desire
