Al-Kahf 14: We made their hearts steadfast. Those young men stood up and said (to the ruler of that place); “Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Other than Allah, we do not call upon anyone else as deities. Otherwise, we would have spoken nonsense.”

Translation

We made their hearts steadfast. Those young men stood up and said (to the ruler of that place); “Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Other than Allah, we do not call upon anyone else as deities. Otherwise, we would have spoken nonsense.”

Tafsir

Allah has made the hearts of Ashab al-Kahf firm. That is, He made them free from fear and strong with Allah. The dictionary meaning of the word "metin" is "strong, firm and firm". One of the names of Allah is Al Metin.

These people (stood before the ruler of that place and said: "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. We do not call any other god but Him. Otherwise we would be speaking nonsense). They informed the ruler of the oneness of Allah (swt) and that there was no other god besides Him.

These brave men were not subject to their rulers as a result of their rulers associating partners with Allah, and with this speech of Ashab al-Kahf, they clearly communicated the existence of Allah (swt) to their rulers.

Their rulers were pagans who were enemies of Allah, who had partners with Allah and did not accept the One God. Ashab-ı Kehf, knowing that they would be thrown into prison and dungeon, risked all kinds of dangers to tell their rulers about the existence of Allah and His existence, that there is no god other than Him, that Allah is the absolute power in His property, and that no creature other than Allah can be equated to Allah and called a god. Such young people are of course valiant. They are men of valor. And Allah has made their hearts firm.

Verse 14 of Surah Al-Kahf. "We made their hearts firm. Those brave men, standing up before the ruler of that place, said, 'Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. We call no one other than Him god. Otherwise we would have spoken nonsense.'" Yes. Allah Almighty made the heart of the Companions of the Cave firm. That is, He made them free of fear and finding strength in Allah. The dictionary meaning of "metin" is strong, solid, firm. One of Allah Almighty's names is al-Matin. So these people, standing up before the ruler of that place, "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. We call no one other than Him god, otherwise we would have spoken nonsense," they said.

To the ruler, the oneness of Allah Almighty and that there is no other god besides Him, they conveyed. Yes.

How beautifully they convey Allah to people, these people. Then those people, those Companions of the Cave, before that idolatrous ruler standing up, conveyed to the ruler the oneness of Allah Almighty and that no other god exists besides Him. These brave men, as their rulers associated partners with Allah, not only did not follow them, but with these words of the Companions of the Cave, before their rulers, they openly conveyed the existence of Allah Almighty. Their ruler was an enemy of Allah, one who associated partners with Allah, who did not accept the One God, an idolater. The Companions of the Cave, knowing full well that they would be thrown into prison (?), the existence and oneness of Allah, that there is no god besides Him, and Allah, the absolute power in His dominion, braving every danger, explained to their rulers, and that no created being other than Allah may be held equal to Allah and called god, they also voiced. So such young men are surely brave; they are true men. And so Allah made their hearts firm.
