Al-Kahf 21: And thus, We made (people) aware of them so that they will know that Allah’s promise is truthful and that there is no doubt in the Hour (Day of Judgment). And when they were discussing the People of the Cave among them, they said; “Establish a building upon them. Their Lord knows them better.” Those who knew about them said; “We will surely establish a masjid (mosque) upon them.”

Translation

And thus, We made (people) aware of them so that they will know that Allah’s promise is truthful and that there is no doubt in the Hour (Day of Judgment). And when they were discussing the People of the Cave among them, they said; “Establish a building upon them. Their Lord knows them better.” Those who knew about them said; “We will surely establish a masjid (mosque) upon them.”

Tafsir

Allah (swt) awakened Ashab al-Kahf from sleep to show people that the resurrection after death is true. In this way, Allah Ta'ala has made this event a sign and a miracle to show the people that both the end of the world and the resurrection of people in the Hereafter are true, and that He will fulfill His promise.

Some people were discussing the situation of Ashab al-Kahf among themselves, some of them wanted to build a building on them. But those who were aware of their situation said that we will definitely build a masjid near them.

These people who were aware of the situation of Ashab al-Kahf, what were they aware of that they made this decision? These people certainly knew that Ashab al-Kahf had not yet died. At the end of the Day of Judgment, they too will taste death. In this regard, those who were aware of the situation of Ashab al-Kahf insisted that we would definitely build a mosque near them, and indeed they built a mosque next to the cave.

What is said in the video

21. Verse. Thus We made people aware of them, so that they would know that Allah's promise is true and that the Hour is beyond doubt. When they were disputing among themselves about the state of the Ashab al-Kahf. They said: build a building over them. Their Lord knows them best. Those who knew their state said: we will certainly build a mosque right beside them.

Allah Almighty, in order to show people that resurrection after death is true, for that reason woke the Ashab al-Kahf from sleep. Thus, to show people that both the coming of the Hour and the resurrection of people in the Hereafter are true, and that Allah Almighty will fulfil His promise, He made this event appear to people as a lesson and a miracle. Some people were disputing among themselves about the state of the Ashab al-Kahf. Some wanted a building to be built over them. But those who knew their state said: we will certainly build a mosque right beside them. These people who knew the state of the Ashab al-Kahf, knowing what did they make this decision? These people knew for certain that the Ashab al-Kahf had not yet died.

They will rise at the end of the Hour, and they too will taste death. For this reason, those who knew the state of the Ashab al-Kahf insisted, saying: we will certainly build a mosque right beside them, and indeed they had a mosque built next to the cave.
