“I also do not think that the Hour (of the Day of Judgment) will come. If I should be brought to the side of my Lord, I will surely find a better destination than this.”
Tafsir
The man who denies Allah and the Hereafter by relying on his wealth says. With this speech, he makes Allah's creatures his supporters against his own soul. Trusting in them, he is arrogant with his wealth and possessions. With his short sight and intellect, he denies Allah, thinking that he is powerful with his wealth. Such people are far away from Allah. They are people who deify the temporal worldly goods against their own souls and live on them.
It is better for such people to take their lives than to take away their property. Because their whole world, their lives and dreams are worldly.
Such people say, "If there is an afterlife and Allah exists, when I am brought before Allah, I am the most honored servant of Allah, because I have wealth and property, children and children. Allah values me and these things. Because they carry the mentality that I am powerful. These people do not realize that wealth, property, children and children's children are all created things, creations of Allah. It is only through worship of Allah and obedience to His laws that Allah's mercy is attained.
What is said in the video
And I do not think the Hour will come either. And if I am brought before my Lord, I have no doubt that there I will find a better outcome than this. Of course. Now, how nicely the devil fools him with this. Allah loves you; it is because He loves me that He gives me property. When you go there too, what are these? He will give you something better. So, saying: you, Allah loves you, that is why He gives property like this, and in this way making him forget Allah, out of his own pride and arrogance he opposes Allah's verses. The man who, trusting in his wealth, denies Allah and the Hereafter says: I do not expect the Hour to come either.
With these words, against his own nafs, he makes Allah's creatures his supporters. Trusting in them, with his wealth and family he grows arrogant. With his short sight and his mind, thinking himself strong through his wealth, he denies Allah. Such people are very far from Allah. Making the passing goods of this world into gods for their own nafs, they are people who find life in them. For such people, rather than having their wealth taken from their hands, having their lives taken is better for them.
Because their whole world, their living and their dreams are worldly wealth. Such people say this: If there is a Hereafter and Allah exists, then when brought before Allah I am Allah's most special servant. Because I have wealth, I have property, I have children and family. Allah values me, and with these. Because I am strong: they carry this mindset. These people do not consider that wealth, property, children and family, whatever there is, are created things, Allah's creatures. Only through worship of Allah Himself and obedience to His rulings is Allah's mercy attained.
