The friend he was talking to said; “Did you deny your Lord, the One who had created you from soil and then from sperm, then shaped you into the form of a man?”
Tafsir
To the man whose conversation partner is cruel to his own soul! Have you disbelieved in Allah Who created you from dust and then from a germ? Yet He is He Who molded our ancestor Adam from the earth into a human being. Then He gave him a soul. He made us, the offspring of our ancestor Adam, from thousands of sperms, human cells in their sulps, by fertilizing us in our mother's womb. Allah is the Creator and the fulfiller of all His will. Have you disbelieved in Allah, the Creator of such worlds, and have relied on His creatures?
What is said in the video
Verse 37 of Surah Al-Kahf: his companion, talking with him, said to him: You, who created you from soil, then from a nutfah, that is, from sperm, and then shaped you into a man, have you denied Allah? he says. How well he puts it. How well he puts it. Yes.
His companion talking with him, however, says to the man who wrongs his own nafs: Have you denied Allah, who created you from soil, then created you from a nutfah? Yet that Allah, shaping the soil, made our forefather Adam into human form. Then He gave him a soul. As the family of our forefather Adam, from the thousands of sperm in their loins, from human cells, fertilized in the mother's womb, He brought us into human form. Allah is the Creator and the One who carries out His every will. Denying Allah, who created the worlds like this, have you leaned your back on His creatures, he addresses him. Yes.
And upon you be peace. Welcome.
Here we are saying, from (?). He gave him a soul. As the family of our forefather Adam, from the thousands of sperm in their loins, from human cells, fertilizing in the mother's womb, from these, from those thousands of cells, one of them, in the mother's womb, from the cells. In that womb, opening the way a camera's shutter opens, and catching that one cell and closing; sometimes two, three it catches. These become twins, triplets. Yes.
