Translation

“But Allah is my Lord, and I do not associate any partners with my Lord.”

Tafsir

The one who is cruel to his nafs will say to his friend whom he despises in terms of wealth and possessions. O Allah is my Lord. I do not associate anything with my Lord. For all His creation is His. He has absolute power over His property. All souls will taste death and in the end, according to the verse that says that Allah inherits the heavens and the earth, His creation will remain with Him. And since Allah does not need His creations, on the Day of Judgment He will roll up the world He created like an old rag and throw it into hell. In this respect, since all creation is Allah's will, he said, I do not trust in anyone other than Allah and I do not associate anything with Him.

What is said in the video

Verse 38 of Surah Al-Kahf: But that Allah is my Lord, and I do not associate with my Lord anything as a partner, says the person. How well he puts it. To his friend who wrongs his own nafs, the friend whom he regarded as (?) in wealth and family says this: That Allah is my Lord; I do not associate anything with my Lord. Because all that He created is His. He has absolute power over His dominion. Every soul shall taste death. According to the verse in which He says that in the end the inheritance of the earth and the heavens belongs to Allah, once again what He created will remain with Him alone.

And since Allah has no need of His creatures, on the Day of Judgment He will roll up the world He created like an old rag and throw it into Hell. In this respect, since all created things are Allah's will, I trust no one but Allah and I do not associate anything with Him, he said. Who says this? His friend. You know, the friend he saw as rather weak is speaking to him.
