Al-Kahf 42: And his wealth was seized and perished. Because of the expenses he made for his vineyards, he stood still, rubbing his hands. The trellises of the vineyards had fallen to the ground. He said, “Woe to me! Only if I had not associated any partners with my Lord!”

Translation

And his wealth was seized and perished. Because of the expenses he made for his vineyards, he stood still, rubbing his hands. The trellises of the vineyards had fallen to the ground. He said, “Woe to me! Only if I had not associated any partners with my Lord!”

Tafsir

Allah has encompassed the wealth of this person who boasts of his wealth and his children and associates Allah's creatures with Allah. We keep talking about Allah's encirclement; when Allah encircles something, it means that it is no longer possible for anyone to escape from that encirclement or to get out of Allah's encirclement. When this person comes to his vineyard, he finds that it has become dry land. Thus, the expenses he had incurred for his vineyard evaporated and he was left to rub his hands and wail to himself.

Allah (swt) made the arbors of the vineyard collapse to the ground, that is, the trunks of the vineyard, which were standing on the roots of the vineyard, broke and collapsed to the ground and became useless. The person who owns and trusts in wealth expresses regret and despair, saying, "I wish I had not associated anything with my Lord.

The end of those who rely on the creations of Allah (swt) and boast in them is to be disappointed in this world and to be punished with a painful torment in the Hereafter. Their punishment is eternal and permanent. They will never be saved from this place of torment, Hell. The life of this world is the field of the Hereafter. What you sow here, you will reap in the Hereafter. The opportunity must be seized.

What is said in the video

In verse 42 of Surah Al-Kahf: And then his wealth was encompassed and destroyed. So he was left wringing his hands over what he had spent on his vineyard. The vineyard's trellises had collapsed to the ground. Ah, he said, if only I had not associated any partner with my Lord. This man who boasted of his wealth and children, who associated Allah's creatures as partners with Allah: Allah encompassed his wealth. We keep explaining Allah's encompassing. For Allah to encompass something means that it is no longer possible for what is encompassed to escape or get out of Allah's encompassing. When this man comes to his vineyard, he sees that the vineyard has become completely dry ground.

So the expenses he had made for the vineyard vanished, and all that was left was to wring his hands and lament to himself. Allah Almighty made the vineyard's trellises collapse to the ground, that is, the trunks standing on the vineyard's roots were broken and, collapsed on the ground, became useless. And its owner, the man who trusted in wealth, in regret and despair, saying, "If only I had not associated anything with my Lord," voiced his regret. This, then, is the end of those who rely on Allah Almighty's creatures and boast of them: both to suffer loss in this world and to be punished in the Hereafter with a painful torment. Their punishments are eternal and everlasting.

They have no escape ever again from this torment or from Hell, its place. The life of this world is the field of the Hereafter. Whatever you sow here, you will reap in the Hereafter; it is necessary to make good use of the opportunity.
