Tafsir
Allah (swt) also wants us to use our intellect in this verse. He gives us examples. In the verses that follow, He continues to give examples and introduces Himself to people in a way that every mind can understand.
When water is withdrawn or drought strikes a town, life in that town is extinguished. Migration starts in that town. So, if we stay in our places and enjoy the blessings of Allah without migrating from our towns, this is Allah's mercy on people. By telling people about this mercy of His, He shows people the glory of His Essence.
(Allah will grow crops, olives, dates, grapes and other fruits for you with the help of water) is a reminder of His blessings on mankind. These blessings do not stop there. If we were to list the blessings He has bestowed here, Allah's blessings would not fit in the books that have been written. However, he wants to warn us with a few examples he has given from these blessings.
(In this is a great lesson for a people who think). Surely Allah is the guarantor of the sustenance of His creatures. He knows what His creatures need for sustenance. Allah, who created them in this way, creates the sustenance for each of His creatures individually. All creatures know their food and benefit from Allah's blessings. Accordingly, you cannot feed grass to an animal that eats meat and you cannot feed meat to an animal that eats grass. In this respect, Allah, Who created the various sustenance of various creatures and completed the cycle by creating eighteen thousand worlds, is free from all deficient attributes. He proves to every intelligent person that there is no God but Him, and declares His existence publicly. There are great signs for the people who contemplate these things.
What is said in the video
Verse 11 of Surah An-Nahl: By means of water Allah grows for you crops, olives, date palms, grapes and all kinds of other fruits. Surely in these there is a great lesson for a people who reflect. Yes, Allah Almighty, by showing us His creations as examples: these cannot come about by themselves. There is a being who created them. And that is Allah, the owner of these worlds. In this verse too, Allah Almighty wills that we use our intellect. He gives us examples. In the following verses too, continuing to give examples, in a way every mind can understand, He makes His essence known to people. What does He say in one verse?
We will never cease to give similes with the mosquito and (?). A town whose water is drawn away, or that is struck by drought — life in that town dies out. Migrations from that town begin. So if we stay where we are without migrating from our towns and benefit from Allah's blessings, this is Allah's mercy upon people. So, this mercy — by telling people of this mercy, He shows them the greatness of His essence. His saying, "By means of water Allah grows for you crops, olives, date palms, grapes and all kinds of other fruits", reminds people of His blessing upon them. Allah Almighty. All this, His blessing upon us people, that is, that there is none besides Allah who gives these provisions, He makes known to us.
These blessings He has listed do not end here. These blessings are not just this much anyway. In Surah Ar-Rahman, Which of the blessings Allah has given do you deny, it says. Indeed, even if you counted the blessings Allah has given, you could not (?) them. If we were to list here the blessings He has given, into the books written Allah's blessings would not fit. But with a few examples of these blessings He has given, He wants to warn us. Indeed, in these there is a great lesson for a people who reflect. Surely Allah is the guarantor of His creatures' sustenance. He also knows what His creatures need as sustenance.
Allah, who created them this way, creates each creature's sustenance separately. All created beings know their food and benefit from Allah's blessings. Accordingly, you cannot make a meat-eating animal eat grass, nor a grass-eating animal eat meat. In this respect Allah, who creates the various sustenance of various creatures, and who, creating eighteen thousand worlds, completed their (?), is free from all imperfect attributes. That there is no god besides Him He proves to every person of reason, and His existence (?), through knowledge, He makes known. Indeed, for peoples who contemplate these with reflection there is a great lesson.
