Tafsir
(Your merciful Lord is the Lord of mercy.) If we pay attention to this verse, it is addressed to the Prophet (SAW). So a question may come to our minds here: Is Allah (swt) only the Lord of the Prophet (s.a.w.s.)? If we read this verse carefully, we will understand it much better.
When Allah (swt) wills that His Essence be known, He creates the light of His Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.), Habib-i Kibriya Hatemul Anbiya, and from this light He creates all the worlds. Allah (swt) also gives the Prophet (pbuh) his soul and creates all human beings indirectly from the soul of the Prophet (pbuh). By creating the Prophet (p.b.u.h.), whom he said, "I would not have created these worlds if it were not for you", as the first and the first of all created beings, and by creating all created beings from the light and spirit of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.), his saying "Your Lord, whose forgiveness is abundant", by gathering all created beings together in the Prophet (p.b.u.h.), by saying "Your Lord", is an address from the mote to the sphere, and it declares that there is no other god but him.
Then the verse continues; (Your Lord is merciful.) Allah, Who created all the worlds out of nothing, is the Merciful. He is compassionate and merciful to His creatures. His mercy is for everyone in the universe. Because Allah is perfect. He is free from all deficient attributes. Allah is the owner of justice. He does not intend cruelty to anyone, nor does He put a burden on our backs that we cannot bear. But what everyone earns is the equivalent of his own two hands.
(If He were to call them to account for what they did, He would have given them the torment swiftly). If Allah (swt) had immediately seized people for their mistakes and held them to account, He would have given them the punishment quickly. He says in another Verse: "If you had been caught immediately for the mistakes you have done, you would not have found a single living creature roaming the earth". The meaning of this verse is that people can commit mistakes, they can do bad deeds thinking that they are doing the right thing, because Allah has created people incomplete mentally. Or they may have been involved in bad deeds due to the environment they grew up in. They may commit these evils habitually. If there is a good covenant in a person's nature, and then he repents to Allah (swt) with remorse and regret and promises not to do evil, then Allah is Tawwab, the Most Accepting of repentance. People are not immediately caught and held to account for the evils they commit because Allah has given these situations to His creatures as fate, according to their will.
Every human being has a certain lifespan within his destiny. All human beings will live their destiny and bear witness against Allah (swt). Therefore, no matter how bad a person is or how good he is, he is given a respite until the end of his life. After that, no one will be able to escape this death.
What is said in the video
Verse 58 of Surah Al-Kahf.
"Your Lord, abundant in forgiveness" — "your", that is, He is saying it to the Prophet. "Your Lord, abundant in forgiveness." Well, toward the Prophet — so then toward me He is not abundant in forgiveness? It is not like that. And Allah Almighty, who created the worlds from the light of the
Prophet and created people from his spirit, since He created all these worlds, from atom to globe, from the light of the Prophet and, indirectly, from his spirit, by saying "your Lord" — just as a father's wealth among his children will be divided among those children too, by saying "your" He means the universe. The universe — not only people, the whole universe, the creatures, angels, humans and jinn — "your Lord, abundant in forgiveness, is the Possessor of mercy," it says. "If He were to take them to task at once for what they did, He would give them the punishment very quickly. But they have an appointed time, after which they will find no refuge to escape to." Allah Almighty sent every person on earth to an unseen world where His Being is not seen.
If every person had been seized at once for the mistakes they made during this life, they would remain subject to punishments. So Allah Almighty, who created people incomplete and fallible, until a certain time granted them a life. And at the end of that life, after that, woe to our state. If it is good, we have found salvation. If, what pleases our Lord, or else (?) with hypocrisy, we turned our backs, woe to our state. Yes. Your Lord, abundant in forgiveness, is the Possessor of mercy. If we pay attention to this verse, the address here is to the Prophet (peace be upon him). So such a question might come to our minds here: Is Allah Almighty the Lord of the Prophet alone?
If we read this part carefully, we will understand this verse much better, I say. When Allah Almighty willed that His Being be known, He creates the light of Habib-i Kibriya, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him). What did He do? Allah Almighty, with His Being, unseen. No being exists. With His Being, a treasure. An unknown treasure. Unknown, why? Because there is no being to know Allah Almighty. Nothing created exists. Unseen in His Being. A treasure. That is, a treasure of knowledge. A treasure of creation. It is a knowledge able to create what He wills when He says "Be". A treasure that has the power to create.
What did He do? He willed to be known. Yes. What are we saying? When Allah Almighty willed that His Being be known, He creates the light of Habib-i Kibriya, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), and from this light He creates all the worlds. Moreover, Allah Almighty, giving from the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him), creates all people too, indirectly, from the spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him). By creating the Prophet (peace be upon him), to whom He said "Had it not been for you, I would not have created these worlds", as the first and foremost of all created beings, and moreover since all created beings were created from the light and spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him), His saying "your Lord, abundant in forgiveness" — gathering all created beings together in the Prophet (peace be upon him), by saying "your Lord" He addresses everything from atom to globe and declares that there is no other god besides Him.
He affirms oneness, and He affirms the oneness of His Being. His Beloved (?) to all the prophets, and He gathers the worlds in him. He gathers all beings in the Prophet. When He says "your Lord", He takes in all the worlds. Yes. Just as we say Arshullah. The Throne of Allah. What is this Throne of Allah? The seven heavens and all of it, the Sidrat al-Muntaha, everywhere, together with the seven heavens, is covered by a being we call Arshullah, by the Throne. That is, like what? Imagine a building. Imagine the outer walls of a seven-storey building as the Throne. Whose building is that? Allah's building.
That is, Arshullah. The Throne of Allah. Allah's property. Allah's building. All that property, what is inside that building, is Allah's. Yes.
Then the verse continues. Your Lord is the Possessor of mercy. Allah, who brought all the worlds into being from nothing, is the Most Merciful. He is compassionate and merciful toward what He created. His mercy in the universe is upon everyone. Because Allah is perfect. He is free from all deficient attributes. Allah is just. He wills injustice to no one. Nor does He lay on our backs a load one cannot bear. But what each person earns is the recompense for their own deeds.
Yes. "If He were to take them to task at once for what they did, He would give them the punishment very quickly." If Allah Almighty had, for the mistakes people made, at once seized them and called them to account, He would have given them the punishment very quickly. Again, in another verse He says: if you had been seized at once for the mistakes you made, you would not find a single living being walking on the earth. The intent in this verse: since Allah created people deficient in mind, people may err and commit mistakes. (?) they may do bad deeds. Or, because of the environment they grew up in, they may have done bad deeds.
They may commit these evils out of habit. If there is a good covenant in a person's nature, and the person later, with remorse and regret, to Allah Almighty repents and promises not to do evil, then Allah is At-Tawwab, the One who accepts repentance abundantly. Since Allah gives these situations, over His creatures, to people according to their wishes as destiny, for the evils people have committed people are not immediately seized and called to account.
Every person, within their destiny, has a certain lifespan. All people will live out their destiny and make themselves witnesses before Allah Almighty. For this reason, however bad or however good a person may be, he has been given a respite until the end of his life. After that, no one will be able to escape this death.
