Al-Kahf 59: Those nations; We have destroyed them when they committed oppression. We had determined a time to destroy them.

Translation

Those nations; We have destroyed them when they committed oppression. We had determined a time to destroy them.

Tafsir

This is what he calls those countries, like the people of Lot, the people of Thamud, Pharaoh's soldiers and the flood that Noah (peace be upon him) gave to his people in the past, because they did not believe in Allah and mocked His Prophets, He destroyed those who were cruel to their own souls, in order to grant life to the people who came after them and to leave them as an example.

Allah (swt) has created all these worlds within a program. He knows what will happen when and where. Each of His creations has a definite term and a definite time. Allah knows what people who are cruel to their nafs will do, and He has programmed these worlds accordingly with His verse (We had appointed a certain time to destroy them). When those who were wrongdoers against their own souls gathered together and denied Allah and the Hereafter, Allah, Who attributes everything to causes, destroyed them in due time for the crimes they committed.

What is said in the video

Verse 59 of Surah Al-Kahf. "Those lands — when they did wrong, We destroyed them. And for their destruction We had appointed a set time." What He calls "those lands": like, in the past, the people of Lot, the people of Thamud, Pharaoh's soldiers, and the flood He gave to the people of Noah (peace be upon him) — people who, because of not believing in Allah and mocking their prophets, wronged their own nafs; to grant life to the people coming after them and to leave these as a world of lessons, He removed these peoples. Allah Almighty created all these worlds within a program. He knows what will happen when and where.

"And for their destruction We had appointed a set time" — with this verse, Allah, who knows what those who wrong their nafs will do, has programmed these worlds accordingly. Those who wrong their nafs gathering together — with their denial of Allah and the hereafter, Allah, who ties everything to a cause, for the crimes these people wished for, destroyed them when the time came. Yes.
