Translation

At one time, Moses said to his helper, “I will not stop and rest until I reach the place where the seas join together, or I will walk for years.”

Tafsir

Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' wanted to learn from Hazrat Khidr. So, with the permission of Allah (swt), he set out to meet Khidr with his young companion Hazrat Joshua Ibn Nune, who was a follower and servant of Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him). They took a dead fish with them. At the place where this fish is resurrected, they will meet Hazrat Hizr 'alaihis-salâm' as a miraculous sign.

It is in this state that Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' says to his young companion, Hadrat Joshua ibn Nune, who is following him, "I will walk for years and years without rest or rest, until I reach the place where two seas meet." These two seas are described as the Strait of Gibraltar. It is where the Mediterranean Sea and the Ocean Sea meet. There is also another meaning here. These two seas, also in the Strait of Gibraltar, also means the place where fresh water and salt water are together and do not mix. In the time of Hazrat Moses, since there was no technology and no such discovery was made, and since the verses of the Holy Qur'an also address the future time, Allah's verses are better understood with the events in time, and Allah proves His existence to people with His verses.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Kahf, verse 60 Once Moses said to his young man: I will not stop and rest until I reach the place where the sea meets, or I will walk for years. To receive the ladunni knowledge, Moses (peace be upon him) wants, together with Moses (peace be upon him), to keep company, and to go to the appointed place, it speaks of his young companion. They say this is Joshua (peace be upon him). Allah knows best, they say it is Joshua (peace be upon him). They set out together. So, once Moses said to his young man: I will not stop and rest until I reach the place where the sea meets, or I will walk for years.

Moses (peace be upon him) wants to learn from Khidr the knowledge of ladun. Thereupon, by the permission of Allah Almighty, in order to meet Khidr (peace be upon him), with his young companion, that is, the one who followed Moses (peace be upon him) and served him, Joshua son of Nun, he sets out. They also take a dead fish with them. And where this fish comes back to life, as a miraculous sign, they will meet Khidr (peace be upon him). So in this state Moses (peace be upon him) says to his young companion, that is, the one following him, Joshua son of Nun, the following: I will walk without stopping to rest, or for years, until to the place where the two seas meet I go. These two seas are described as the Strait of Gibraltar.

It is the place where the Mediterranean and the Ocean meet. There is also another meaning here. These two seas also mean, again at the Strait of Gibraltar, the place where fresh water and salt water are together and do not mix with each other. As Allah Almighty makes known in a verse, fresh water and salt water are found together. They do not mix with each other. Since there was no technology in the time of Moses and no such discovery had been made, and since the verses of the Holy Quran also address future times, over time, through the events found, the verses of Allah Almighty are better understood, and Allah has thus proven His existence to people with His verses.
