Translation

When they reached the place where the seas join together, they both forgot about their fish. It (their fish) had found a way into the sea, freeing itself.

Tafsir

Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' and his companion Hadrat Joshua ibn Nune reached the place where the two seas met, where they were to meet Hadrat Khidr 'alaihis-salâm'. After taking a break and resting here for a while, they got up from their resting place and continued on their way, forgetting the place where the two seas met. When they felt hungry, they wanted to eat something. When they sat down in a place and opened their food bags, they could not find the fish with them. Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' asked his companion: Where is the fish? At that time, Joshua 'alaihis-salâm' remembered the place where he had rested before and remembered that the fish had come to life there and dived into the sea and took a path and left, and he told this incident to Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm'.

Allah (swt) informs Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' about the place where they will meet Hazrat Khidr 'alaihis-salâm'. He says that wherever this lifeless fish that is with them comes to life and jumps into the sea, you will meet Hadrat Hızır 'alaihis-salâm' there.

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 61 of Surah Al-Kahf. Verse 61 of Surah Al-Kahf: When both of them reached the place where the sea meets, they forgot their fish. (?) The fish had taken a way into the sea and gone. That is, when they came to a certain place, they sat there for a while, and after resting and eating their food, the fish comes back to life there and goes into the sea. But they do not notice this.

Moses' (peace be upon him) companion Joshua son of Nun — to the place where the two seas meet, where they are to meet Khidr (peace be upon him), they come. After taking a short break and resting here, forgetting the place where the two seas meet, where they are to meet Khidr, from the place where they rested they get up and continue on their way. When they get hungry, they want to eat something. Thereupon, when they sit down somewhere and open their provision bag, they cannot find the fish with them. Moses (peace be upon him), (?), asks: Where is the fish? At that moment Joshua (peace be upon him) remembers the place where he had rested earlier, and he remembers that the fish came to life there, plunged into the sea, took a way and went.

And he tells this event to Moses (peace be upon him). The place where Moses (peace be upon him) and Khidr (peace be upon him) would meet, Allah Almighty makes known to Moses (peace be upon him) as follows: Where this lifeless fish that is with you comes to life, and if, where it comes to life, it leaps and jumps into the sea, there you will meet Khidr (peace be upon him), He says.
