Tafsir

Here Allah (swt) shows some subtleties to people. Although Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' was a Prophet of Allah, Allah (swt) revealed to some of His servants the sciences that the Prophet did not know. Allah is showing this incident to people as an example so that no creature can disregard the creatures with their knowledge and say that there are no people who have knowledge above their own knowledge. This is what our Prophet (SAW) says in one of his hadiths: "There is a hand on the hand until it reaches to the arch.

To elaborate a little on this hadith: Allah is the one and only Deity with absolute power among His creations. He is the absolute owner of His creation. Allah is the All-knowing. He is perfect. The other creatures are incapable and incomplete in their wills. In this respect, Allah has scattered His attributes throughout the universe. In order to prevent people from falling into a whim or pride by saying that I am the most beloved servant of Allah or that there is no one more knowledgeable than me among the creatures in this universe, Allah emphasizes that all human beings are in need of Allah (swt), that the knowledge of the creatures is incomplete, and that Allah (swt) has scattered His attributes throughout the universe by creating one more knowledgeable than the other and the other more knowledgeable than the other.

Even though a person may have knowledge, and another person after him may have more knowledge than him, and another person above him may have more knowledge than him, above him there is the Essence of Allah with His attribute of knowledge as perfect knowledge, and when the Prophet (PBUH) says, "There is a hand on the hand until the Ark", he means that the hand on the hands is Allah, who has knowledge. Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' wants to follow Hadrat Khidr 'alaihis-salâm' in order to learn from Hadrat Khidr 'alaihis-salâm' the knowledge of the ledunna, which is found in Hadrat Khidr 'alaihis-salâm' and which Allah (swt) taught Hadrat Khidr 'alaihis-salâm'.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Kahf, verse 66. Moses said to him: so that you teach me, from what you have been taught, knowledge that will help me find what is right, may I follow you? Yes, he said: may I follow you? Here Allah Almighty shows people some subtleties. Although Moses (peace be upon him) is a prophet of Allah, knowledge that even the prophet does not know, Allah Almighty makes known to some of His servants. So that no created being, holding other creatures in contempt because of his own knowledge, says there are no people with knowledge above his own, Allah shows this event to people as an example. The Prophet (peace be upon him) says in one of his hadiths: there is a hand above the hand, up to the exalted Throne.

If we touch on this hadith a little: Allah is the absolute power among what He created and the one and only God. He is the absolute owner of what He created; Allah is All-Knowing, He is perfect; the other created beings, however, are helpless and deficient within their partial free will. In this respect, Allah has scattered His attributes across the universe. So that no created being, saying 'I am Allah's most beloved servant' or 'among the created beings in this universe there is no one more knowledgeable than me', so that people are not carried away by a whim or by pride, Allah, by creating one more knowledgeable than another and that one more knowledgeable than the next, emphasizes that all people are in need of Allah, that the knowledge of created beings is deficient, and that Allah Almighty has scattered His attributes across the universe.

Even if a person has knowledge, there is a person of knowledge above him, and above him another person of knowledge; if so, one cannot be praised for the knowledge in oneself; if there is a person of knowledge above him too, then who else is there? No one. It is all people stacked one above the other. It has to end. It has to end. The people in the world are limited. And the knowledge above them is with Allah Almighty. So who are you boasting to? Whom are you relying on? Which knowledge of yours are you relying on? Yes. Even if a person has knowledge, and another person after him is more knowledgeable than him, and there is a person of knowledge above him too, then above him is the Being of Allah, perfect in knowledge through His attribute of the All-Knowing; and the Prophet (peace be upon him), by saying 'there is a hand above the hand, up to the exalted Throne', means that the knowledge above the hands is Allah, the possessor of knowledge.

So, the knowledge that was in Khidr (peace be upon him) and that Allah Almighty taught Khidr (peace be upon him), the ledunni knowledge — Moses (peace be upon him), in order to learn it from Khidr (peace be upon him), wants to follow him. Yes.

Here: He taught the knowledge. Where we say 'He taught him (peace be upon him) His knowledge', the ledunni knowledge that Allah Almighty taught Khidr (peace be upon him) — rather than 'taught', it is better to say 'made known'. Not 'taught'. In 'making known'. You see, ledunni knowledge lies in making known the event behind things, that is, not in teaching. And to attain this, a certain rank is also required.
