Translation

(Moses) said; “If I ask you anything after this, do not be my companion. Verily, I have reached the end of my excuse.”

Tafsir

Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' replied to Khidr 'alaihis-salâm' that if I ever ask you anything again, I will allow you not to associate with me, because you have reached the end of the excuse to be put forward by me.

People are not immediately held to account for their mistakes. In a verse, Allah says: "If you were immediately called to account for the mistakes you have made, you would not have found a single living creature roaming the earth".

Because of the covenant they made with Khidr 'alaihis-salâm', their covenant did not end immediately with the objections of Musa 'alaihis-salâm', but he was given three rights of objection. If they object about this third one, their covenant will be broken and they will go their own way.

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 76 of Surah Al-Kahf. Moses (peace be upon him), in reply to Khidr (peace be upon him): "If after this I ask you anything again, I will allow you not to keep me company, for you have reached the end of the excuses I can put forward," he said.

People are not immediately called to account for the mistakes they make. In a verse Allah Almighty says: "If, for the mistakes you have made, you were immediately called to account, you would not find a single living being moving on the earth." So too, because of the covenant Moses (peace be upon him) made with Khidr (peace be upon him), their covenant did not end at once with the objections of Moses (peace be upon him); he was given the right to three objections. If he objected on this third right too, the covenant they made would be broken and each would go his own way.
