Translation

And as such, We were certainly aware about everything about him.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) informing the Prophet (s.a.w.) about Zulqarnayn and saying that we were aware of everything about him means that Allah (swt) is actually with every particle in the universe and is aware of them. It does not mean that He is only aware of Zulqarnayn. The meaning of "We were aware of everything about him" here is that since We gave Zulqarnayn knowledge and power in the world, We were teaching him a knowledge that could make him a cause and a means for all his needs. We were giving him the power to entrust the Truth to people.

Furthermore, Allah (swt) says that He sends a scholar to the feet of people, even in the remotest corners of the realm of property, according to the verse (We do not call anyone to account for that which We do not make known).

What is said in the video

Verse 91 of Surah Al-Kahf. "Thus We were aware of everything concerning him," it says. There is no place that Allah Almighty is not aware of. Not a single atom in the universe. The seven layers beneath the earth, the seven layers of the sky's height and what lies between them, (?) Allah Almighty is not unaware of them. That Allah Almighty gives the Prophet (peace be upon him) such information about Dhul-Qarnayn and says, "We were aware of everything concerning him," is in fact Allah Almighty being with every atom in the universe and being aware of them. It does not mean being aware only of Dhul-Qarnayn.

The meaning here, in His saying "We were aware of everything concerning him," is: since He gave Dhul-Qarnayn knowledge and power in the world, for all the needs he would have We were teaching him knowledge by which he could make a means and an instrument. It means: We were giving him power to convey the truth to people. Moreover, according to the verse "We do not call to account anyone whom We have not informed," Allah Almighty states that, even in the most remote corners of the visible world, Allah sends a scholar to people's doorstep. Even if you are in the middle of the sea, in the middle of the sea We will send a scholar to your doorstep.

If you flee from people to find the truth and go to the most desolate place in the world, We will send an oppressor to your doorstep, it says. Because we will be tested. We will be tested with the crooked and with the straight. Yes.
