Finally, when he reached a place between two mountains, he found a nation in front of it that did not understand any word.

Tafsir

Zulqarnayn continues on his way. He comes to a place where two mountains intersect, that is, where there is a deep valley between them. It is rumored that this is the western part of Turkestan. Here, too, he came across a tribe. The people of this tribe did not speak any language other than their own and did not understand other languages.

Zulqarnayn, because of the knowledge that Allah has given him, tries to understand their language and wants to share their problems. In this respect, he talks to them and listens to their problems.

Surah Al-Kahf, verse 93, we have come to it. Finally, when he reached the place between two mountains, he found in front of them a people who could hardly understand a word. Dhul-Qarnayn continues on his way and comes to where two mountains meet, that is, to the place where, facing each other, there is a deep valley between them. It is narrated that this place is the western part of Turkestan. Here too he comes upon a people. The people of this nation knew no language other than their own, and other languages they did not understand either. Through the knowledge Allah had given him, Dhul-Qarnayn tries to understand their language and wants to share their troubles.

So he talks with them and listens to their problems.
