“The ones who thought that they were committing good deeds, but whose efforts in the worldly life have gone in vain.”
Tafsir
Even if they deny Allah and the Hereafter and engage in good deeds to obtain the life of this world and provide services to people, because in their understanding and realization, all their desires and wishes are to satisfy their egoistic feelings, even if they have done good deeds, their good deeds will be in vain in the Hereafter, because they have denied Allah and the Hereafter.
Because these people did not believe that they would be resurrected after this world. Denying Allah and the Hereafter, they have preferred this world of a few hours to the eternal abode of bliss. The efforts and endeavors of such people have been in vain.
What is said in the video
We have come to Surah Al-Kahf, verse 104. Although they think they are doing good deeds, these are people whose efforts in the life of the world go to waste. Even if, denying Allah and the Hereafter, they busy themselves with good deeds to attain the life of the world and render services to people, within this understanding and awareness of theirs, since all their desires and wishes are to satisfy the feelings of their nafs, however many good deeds they may have done, did they not deny Allah and the Hereafter after all? The good deeds they did have, in the Hereafter, come to nothing.
Because these people did not believe that they would be resurrected again after this world. Denying Allah and the Hereafter, inclining toward this fleeting world of a few hours, they have preferred the eternal abode of bliss to this world. The endeavours and efforts of such people have gone to waste. Yes.
