We are telling you about the things that they lived through, as truth. Verily, they were young men who believed in their Lord. And We increased our help in their guidance.
Tafsir
By narrating this incident to the Prophet (PBUH), Allah (swt) is in fact narrating it to all mankind, as He has sent the Holy Qur'an verse by verse to the whole human world.
Allah (swt) is the true account of what happened to Ashab al-Kahf. The real meaning here is that people may say some fabrications about Ashab al-Kahf. Or they may speak falsely by adding to the words they have heard by word of mouth. Allah (swt) says: "We narrate this incident as the truth, so that the truth may be heard by Allah (swt) Himself, for such incidents and falsehoods have nothing to do with the truth.
Since Allah (swt) writes people's destinies according to their desires and wishes, He knows what is in the hearts of the people of Ashab-ı Kehf and His creatures. Because in one of His verses, He says, "We know the secrets of hearts" (We are closer to you than your jugular veins). In this respect, He knows what the people who will come until the Day of Judgment will do. It is because of this that he says about Ashab al-Kahf (Indeed, they were young men who believed in their Lord).
So Allah (swt) increased their guidance. That is, He strengthened their faith upon their faith. The strengthening of faith upon faith is due to the light that Allah (swt) has placed in people's hearts. With this light, people's discoveries are opened and people's perceptions are opened with the spiritual events that Allah (swt) has shown to people as much as He intended. It is then to realize the omnipotence of Allah (swt) and the sublimity of Allah (swt)'s glory and greatness. It is the realization that Allah (swt) is one in His Essence and that Allah (swt) is the absolute power and sovereign of the universe and that all creation comes to life with Allah (swt) and that man surrenders his existence to Allah (swt) and disappears in Him. This is guidance. This is liberation and victory.
What is said in the video
Yes, of Surah Al-Kahf, the 13th verse. "We relate to you what befell them in truth.
Truly they were young men who believed in their Lord. And We increased their guidance," says Allah Almighty. By telling this event to the Prophet (peace be upon him), Allah Almighty, since He sent the Holy Quran verse by verse to all of humanity, is in fact telling it to all people. It is Allah Almighty relating in truth what befell the Companions of the Cave. The meaning of "in truth" here: about the Companions of the Cave people may tell some fabrications. Or with words heard from ear to ear, adding to it, they may speak lies and falsehoods. So Allah Almighty, since such events, the lies and falsehoods spoken, have nothing to do with the truth, and in that the truth is (?) by Allah Himself, says, "We relate this event in truth." Since Allah Almighty, according to people's wishes and (?), writes what people themselves write, writes their destinies, He knows of the Companions of the Cave, of people and of His creatures what passes through their hearts.
For in a verse He says, "We know the secrets of hearts. We are closer to you than your jugular vein." In this respect He knows what the people to come until the Day of Judgment will do. Because of this, about the Companions of the Cave, "Truly they were young men who believed in their Lord," He says. Thereupon Allah Almighty increased their guidance, that is, He strengthened their faith upon their faith. The strengthening, that is, the increase, of faith upon faith is through the light Allah Almighty places in people's hearts. It is the opening of people's spiritual insight with this light, and Allah Almighty's opening, through the spiritual events He has shown people as much as He wills, of people's comprehension.
Thereupon it is comprehending Allah Almighty's being capable of all things, Allah Almighty's exaltedness and the (?) of His greatness. Before Allah Almighty's being One in His essence and Allah Almighty's being the absolute power and ruler of the universe, and all created beings finding life through Allah, it is a person surrendering his being to Allah Almighty and vanishing in Him. This is guidance; this is salvation and victory.
