(Oh My Messenger!) Did you see the one who denies Our verses and who says, “Certainly I will be given possessions and children”?

Tafsir

In order that the Holy Qur'an may be better understood, Allah (swt) would cause events to occur in many verses. He would send down His Verses according to these events. Here, too, an incident occurred and this verse came down upon this incident.

It is narrated that Habbab (r.a.), a poor Muslim, had a debt with As bin Wail, one of the prominent polytheists. When Habbab asked for his debt, As said to him. When Habbab said to As, "I swear by Allah that I will never deny the Prophet during my life and death and when I am resurrected," As said to Habbab, "Then come to me when you are resurrected and I will pay you what I owe you, for then I will have property and children.

This is how people who do not believe in Allah and the Hereafter boast of their worldly possessions and dominate the poor, and how they speak in an ungodly and audacious manner without recognizing rights and law.

All wealth and property belongs to Allah. Man is a being who has come to the Hereafter to pass on his life and faith in this world. So Allah gives people wealth and property in this world according to their destiny. He gives them sons and daughters. Man is a being who does not know what his life will be in the next moment and what he will encounter in his destiny. If he says, "Then I will have wealth and children," and decides instead of Allah (swt), then they enter shirk.

He warns us against people who say, "Have you seen the man who disbelieved in Our verses and said, 'Surely I will be given wealth and children', so that people may turn away from such words, submit to Allah (swt), pay attention to human rights and law, and fear Allah (swt).

What is said in the video

Verse 77 of Surah Maryam. My Messenger, the man who denies Our verses and says "I will surely be given wealth and children", have you seen him, it says. Of course, he has wealth and children. If, he says, there is paradise in the hereafter, paradise is my right. I have wealth, I have property, I have children. That is, these are people who get their affairs done in the world for money, people who run their affairs. And the other people, because they benefit from them in return for gain, do what they say even if it is unjust; he thinks Allah too is like that. If there is paradise, he says, in the hereafter — well, I have wealth, I have property, I have children. I, he says, will be saved.

Paradise is my right. He does not know that wealth, property, money and he himself are Allah's creation. Poor man. Allah Almighty, in the Quran too, (?), in many verses brings events about. He sends down His verses according to these events. Here too an event occurs, and upon this event this verse is revealed. According to what is told, Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him), a poor Muslim, was owed money by one of the leading polytheists, As ibn Wail — by Wail. When Khabbab asked for what he was owed, As ibn Wail said to him: Unless you deny Muhammad, I will not pay my debt. In reply Khabbab (?): I swear by Allah that I will never deny my Prophet, throughout my life, throughout my death, and when I am raised again — when he said this, As in return says this to Khabbab: Then come to me when you are resurrected; since I will then have wealth and children, I will pay my debt to you, he says.

This is how people who do not believe in Allah and the hereafter, (?) with worldly wealth, with the domination they set up over the poor, recognizing no right or law, speak far from Allah and insolently. May Allah protect us from such an end. Yes. One gets emotional, you know. Wondering what would become of me if I fell into such a state.

All this wealth and property belongs to Allah. Man is a being who has come to carry his life and faith in the world over to the hereafter. So Allah gives people wealth and property in the world according to their destinies. He gives them children and family. Man is a being who, within his lifetime, cannot know what his life will be a moment later, and, within his destiny, what will come before him and what he will encounter. So by saying "I will have wealth and children", by deciding in place of Allah Almighty, these fall into shirk. So that people keep away from such words, submit to Allah Almighty, pay attention to human rights and law, and fear Allah, He warns us — "the man who denies Our verses and says I will surely be given wealth and children, have you seen him?" — against people who talk like this.

Yes.
