Then he found the right path and his Lord accepted his repentance. He got exalted (in the sight of his Lord).
Tafsir
Allah knows who does what with what intention. Because Allah has linked deeds to intentions. Hazrat Adam 'alaihis-salâm also realized the mistake he had done and asked for forgiveness from Allah (swt). He cries and begs for forgiveness.
Allah (swt) knows that this will be so with His prior knowledge. He has programmed this event in such a way that all human beings will come to the realm of the world, which is the property, where they will bear witness against Allah (swt) with their lives in the world. The protagonist of this program, Hazrat Adam aleyhissalâm, asked for forgiveness for his mistake by crying and wailing, and Allah forgave Hazrat Adam aleyhissalâm and glorified him. Prophets are the first human beings created. The fact that he said of our ancestor Adam that he was exalted in the sight of his Lord is proof that our ancestor Adam was also a Prophet.
Hadrat Adam realized that Allah's command could not be disobeyed, and when he finally found the right path, Allah forgave our ancestor Adam and granted him great degrees.
What is said in the video
Adam (peace be upon him), that too — is a wrongly interpreted verse, Surah Taha, verse 122 has been wrongly interpreted. Let us look at verse 122.
101. This is Surah Al-Anbiya, Surah Maryam. Yes. Surah Taha. What does verse 122 say? Then his Lord chose him, accepted his repentance and guided him to the right path, it says. Did Allah choose him among people? The created one. He made him chosen afterwards. Then he found the right path. His Lord accepted his repentance. He was exalted in the sight of his Lord, it says. That is the meaning of the verse.
122. Surah Taha, verse 122: then he found the right path. His Lord accepted his repentance. He was exalted in the sight of his Lord. Here there is (?) of Allah Almighty.
Allah Almighty knows with what intention one does what. Allah Almighty — we should say "whose" here — knows whose intentions are what and what they do, because Allah has tied deeds to intentions. Adam (peace be upon him), too, realizing the mistake he made, asked Allah Almighty for pardon and forgiveness; weeping and pleading, he asks to be forgiven. Allah Almighty, with His pre-eternal knowledge, knows these things will be so. Since all people, with their lives, were to come to the world, where they would hold themselves as witnesses before Allah Almighty, to the great worldly realm, He programmed this event in this way.
Our Lord has already programmed it. He programs it according to the events. And in (?), what does Allah Almighty say? If We had, before this, that is, before the Quran — who are they? the polytheists — destroyed them with a punishment, they would have said to Us, it says: "If You had sent us prophets and books, we would not have fallen into these (?) of disgrace." So it was all programmed beforehand. The verses were written. I mean, the program was programmed. According to them, the plays are acted out. Yes.
In this light, one truly marvels.
That, in response to the covenants man gave Allah Almighty, He programmed all the worlds this way, and that no being steps outside this program, that the scripts were written there — the script is written, and one learns according to these scripts anyway. Doesn't Allah Almighty know? He knows he will leave that place. Doesn't He know he will ask for pardon and forgiveness? He knows. Indeed, what does Adam (peace be upon him) say? In Paradise, he says, he worshipped around that pillar of light and remembered His Essence, he says. "Send me that pillar of light, to worship facing it," he says. And Allah Almighty sends down the Black Stone, that House of Allah, as a pillar of light.
It stays there until the time of Seth. In the time of Seth, a black stone appears in place of that pillar of light. That is the stone called the Black Stone today, the Hajar al-Aswad. Seth (peace be upon him) is said to have known the width and length of the Kaaba. Accordingly he built the shape of the noble Kaaba there (?). It remains buried among the sands until Abraham (peace be upon him). Allah Almighty describes to Abraham (peace be upon him), "Uncover the site of My House." And Abraham (peace be upon him), together with Ishmael, finds the site of the House, uncovers it from the sands and builds it.
Yes. The hero of this program, Adam (peace be upon him), wept and lamented over the mistake he made in error and wished for pardon, so Allah forgives Adam (peace be upon him) and chooses him, it says. There, here it says "chooses him", you see. Whereas He exalts him. Yes.
Let us correct this too.
The prophets are the first created human beings. For our forefather Adam too, the words "he was exalted in the sight of his Lord" are proof that our forefather Adam was also a prophet. Adam (peace be upon him) realized that Allah Almighty's command cannot be opposed, and finally, as he found the right path, Allah Almighty forgave our forefather Adam and granted him great ranks.
