Translation

And those who turn away from remembering Me will have a life of hardship and on the Day of Judgment, We will resurrect them with no sight.”

Tafsir

Whoever disbelieved and disobeyed Allah (swt) in the past, such people will disbelieve in Allah (swt) in the world to come, even in the unseen. The hearts of those who disbelieved and betrayed Allah in the past are disorganized and restless. Such people have programmed themselves in this way with their character. Allah (swt) informs us of such people with His verse, saying that whoever lives without the remembrance of Allah, i.e. turns their backs on the Holy Qur'an and disbelieves in Allah, such people will surely have a troubled life.

Because such people do not rely on Allah, they judge everything according to their own minds. Because they do not believe in Allah and do not rely on Him, they are unable to cope with the events that they experience, and they become depressed and troubled and come to dead ends. Moreover, since they are very fond of the world, do not believe in the resurrection after death and the Hereafter, and believe that this is the place of life, they adjust everything according to the world and matter. Since the desires and wishes of the nafs do not end, they work to obtain the world with the temptation given to them by the devil, and they are in distress because they cannot catch the life they desire. They are also in distress and anguish because they are ashamed of themselves in front of the people, because they use all kinds of schemes to gain the world.

Such people will have a troubled life. By showing us such people as an example, He commands us that people should not go astray from the right path.

They will also be gathered in the Hereafter as blind and blind. This verse is figurative. Because those who forget Allah and His remembrance in this world, those who disbelieve in Allah, even though they are resurrected in the Hereafter and realize that Allah's word is true, they will still not believe that Allah is the One who created them and will wait for the Allah of their own imagination. Since there is no such Allah, Allah says in one of His verses that they will not be able to see their Lord. Because the Lord of their imagination is not the Lord of their imagination, they will not be able to see their Lord. Since there is no other God but Allah, and since they cannot see their imaginary Lord, and since they deny Allah who created them as Lord, they are blind and unaware because they do not recognize Allah whom they deny, even though they see Him.

And according to the verse Hatemallahu ala kulubihim waala semihim waala ebsarihim ğışaveh waahum azabun azim (such people have had their hearts, ears and eyes sealed by Allah (swt) from the truth). These are the ones who are blind to see the truth and deaf to hear the truth against the Verses of Allah, their hearts are sealed, they do not return to the truth forever, and they do not ask forgiveness from Allah (swt).

What is said in the video

Surah Taha, verse 124: And whoever turns away from remembering Me, will surely have a hard life, and We will raise him blind on the Day of Resurrection, it says. Yes, We will raise him blind. So according to this verse, people, the unbelievers, will be raised blind, it says. Whereas this is a meaning Allah Almighty uses figuratively. His being blind — in the world, too, are these people, these unbelievers, not blind? Don't they see? "But Hodja, what does this verse have to do with the world?" It is said for this verse. Look what it says. And whoever turns away from remembering Me will surely have a hard life, and We will raise him blind on the Day of Resurrection, it says.

This starts from the Resurrection — fine, but there is a verse. This is written in a figurative sense. What does the verse say? Hatemallahu alâ. We, upon their eyes (?) and upon their ears too (?). They, it says, are sealed in their hearts. They do not see. They do not see the truth. Because they do not see the truth, they are blind. Yes. "If only they had known Me here," says Allah Almighty. Our Lord says something in Surah As-Sajdah. Look what He says in Surah As-Sajdah; let us read that part to you.

Yes, let us read Surah As-Sajdah to you.

Yes, Surah As-Sajdah,

what does Surah As-Sajdah, verse 12 say? Look, that day those sinners — this is now the exact opposite of this verse. The exact opposite. What does it say? Those sinners, before their Lord, hanging their heads: "Our Lord, we have seen, we have heard, now send us back to the world, let us do good deeds, now we firmly believe" — the time they will say this, if only you could see it, it says. Yes. Well, here too: blind and raising, that is, blind We will raise him, it says. People's characters in the hereafter — the Messenger and the Lord's book — because they denied Allah, never again can they see the truth; since they proved in the world that they are now eternal people of Hell, they will be raised blind. Yes.

I suppose this part is understood. Let us take this part again from the beginning. Whoever has eternally denied Allah Almighty and rebelled — in this world too, such people, not believing even in the unseen, will deny Allah. So the hearts of those who eternally deny and betray Allah are scattered and restless. Such people, with these states that are their own character, have thus had themselves programmed. Allah Almighty informs us about such people with His verse, saying: whoever lives deprived of the remembrance of Allah, that is, turns his back on the noble Quran and denies Allah — such people will surely have a hard life, He declares.

And in this world, too, they go about blind, that is, sightless, and deaf. They hear the truth, but they do not listen. It does not suit them. They see the truth and pretend not to see it. They are the blind and the deaf. Yes. Such people, because they cannot (?) by believing in Allah — because they cannot (?) by believing in Allah — evaluate everything according to their own minds. Since they do not believe in Allah and trust in Him, they cannot cope with the events they live through, fall into depression and distress, and end up at dead ends. Also, since they are very attached to the world and do not believe in resurrection after death and the hereafter, and believe that this is the place of living, they arrange everything according to the world and matter.

And since the nafs is never done with its desires and wants, through the temptation Satan gives them they work to obtain the world, and since again they cannot attain the life they desire, they are in distress too. Also, when they resort to every kind of intrigue to obtain the world, since they feel shame before people, they are also in distress and torment. So Allah Almighty: such people will have a hard life; and, showing such people to us as an example, He commands that people not stray from the right path.

Also, in the hereafter they will be raised blind and sightless. This verse is said in a figurative sense. Because those who in worldly life forget Allah and the remembrance of Allah, those who deny Allah, despite being resurrected in the hereafter and understanding that Allah's word is true, will still not believe that Allah, who created them, is Allah, and will wait for the Allah of their own imagination. And since no such Allah appears, Allah Almighty, in one of His verses, declares: they will not be able to see their Lord. Because since the Lord they imagine in their fantasies does not exist, they will not be able to see their Lord, He declares.

So, since there is no other god besides Allah, and since they will not see the Lord of their imagination either, and since they denied as Lord the Allah who created them, although they see the Allah they denied, they do not recognize Him, and so they are blind and sightless. Hatemallahu alâ kulûbihim ve alâ sem'ihim ve alâ ebsârihim gışâveh, ve lehüm azâbün azîm. According to this verse too, such people, because of their opposition to the truth, have caused their hearts, ears and eyes to be sealed by Allah Almighty. So these, regarding Allah's verses, are blind to seeing the truth and deaf to hearing the truth. Their hearts are sealed; they never return to the truth.

Nor do they ask Allah Almighty for pardon and forgiveness. Yes.
