Translation

When she came, she was told “Was your throne like this one?” She said, “Just like this one!” (Solomon said) “We were given knowledge (from Allah) before and became Muslims.”

Tafsir

When the angel Belkis came to Solomon, he said to Belkis. Is your throne like this? Belkis replies; It is just like that! Although she recognizes her throne, she does not say that it is exactly like that. She does not want to be embarrassed because she is smart. So she says it looks like this. Because it has been modified.

Then Belkis continued her speech. We had already been informed (from Allah) and we had become Muslims. Belkis is aware of Islam. But when her people disbelieved and turned away from the Truth, she had to be seen by them in order not to be ostracized and despised among her people. In this respect, he is saying that we were informed (from Allah) beforehand and we became Muslims.

What is said in the video

Verse 42 of Surah An-Naml. When the queen came: "Is your throne like this too?" it was said. Now he is showing it to the queen. She answered like this: "Just like it." Mashallah. "Just like it." She said to Solomon: "We were given knowledge from Allah before this, and we had become Muslims," she says. That is what Bilqis says. Before that they were Muslims, that is, people who believed in their prophet, in the one Allah. Later, when power passed into the hands of others, they began to worship, to worship idols. She too, out of necessity, appears to worship among them, but in reality Bilqis is, that is, a person living within Islam.

Yes, that is, a person who believes in their prophet; if she had not been so, she would not have told the truth to those around her, to her viziers or her advisers — she would not have told it.

What does it say? When the queen came, it is said: "Is your throne like this too?" She answered like this: "Just like it." She said to Solomon: "We were given knowledge from Allah before this, and we had become Muslims," she says. Evidently, when Bilqis came to Solomon, it was said to Bilqis: "Is your throne like this too?" Bilqis answered: "Just like it." Although she recognizes her throne, she does not say it is entirely this. Being intelligent, she does not want to be embarrassed. That is, she says it resembles this. Because changes have been made to it. Then Bilqis continues her speech. "We too were given knowledge from Allah before this, and we had become Muslims." Bilqis knows about Islam.

But when her people fell into kufr and moved away from the truth, in order not to be shunned among her people and fall into contempt, she was compelled to appear to be one of them. For this reason she says: "We were given knowledge from Allah before this, and we had become Muslims," she says.

The beautiful thing about this is that Bilqis's ability, her side of governing people and ruling over them, is very strong. How do we understand this? When those around her, her advisers, viziers and army commanders gathered, and she explained the situation to them, they say, "Whatever you say, we are at your command." Whatever you say. From this we understand that when she says "abandon the idols," they will all abandon them and become Muslims. Yes.
