An-Naml 44: She was told, “Enter the palace”. When she saw it, she thought it to be a deep water and rolled up her (skirt that covered her) legs. Translation

She was told, “Enter the palace”. When she saw it, she thought it to be a deep water and rolled up her (skirt that covered her) legs. (Solomon) said, “Verily, this is a transparent floor, made from crystal.” (The ruler) said, “My Lord! I have committed oppression against myself. I have submitted with Solomon to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

Tafsir

The angel Belkis was told to enter the mansion. Previously, a pool of water had been built under the road leading to the mansion, fish had been thrown into it and it was covered with crystal, that is, transparent glass. When Belkis was told to enter the mansion, she did not realize that she was going to pass over the glass and lifted her skirt, thinking that it was deep water. In this case, when Hazrat Suleiman said, "This is a floor made of crystal," Belkis realized her mistakes, realized that she had pity on her own soul by worshipping the sun, which she had worshipped until now, and said with regret, "O Allah, I have surrendered to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, along with Suleiman.

When he says "with Solomon", he means that he accepts Solomon as the servant and messenger of Allah. In this way, he accepted Islam, surrendered to Allah, the One, and became a Muslim.

It is not mentioned in the Qur'anic verses that the Prophet Solomon married Belkis and that Belkis' mother was a jinn. After Belqıs became a Muslim, she was sent back to Yemen and continued her reign there until her death.

Hazrat Solomon ruled for forty years. He passed away at the age of fifty-three. He was succeeded by his son, but conflicts arose among the tribe of Beni Israel. This tribe was divided into two. They established states, one under the name of Judah and the other under the name of Israel. The chief city of the state of Judah was the city of Jerusalem. Their rulers were the sons and grandsons of the Prophet Solomon.

The state of Israel was founded by one of the attendants of Hadrat Solomon 'alaihis-salâm'. They were divided into ten tribes, descended from one father, and were known by the nickname Beni Israel. Their chief city was Nablus and then Samaria. This is a people who have gone astray and pursued falsehood.

What is said in the video

In verse 44 of Surah An-Naml, it was said to her, that is, to Bilqis: Enter the palace. The palace — now, for the way into the palace, a glass bridge over a stream is built by Solomon. As Bilqis walks over the glass bridge, she does not know it is glass; she thinks she will step into the stream, and lifts her skirts slightly.

After that she understands how advanced Solomon is in knowledge. Yes, it was said to her: Enter the palace. When the queen saw it, she thought it was deep water and pulled her skirt up. Solomon said: This is a transparent floor made of crystal. The queen said: My Lord, I have truly wronged myself. "Together with Solomon I have submitted to Allah, the Lord of the worlds," she says. Yes, how beautiful.

Queen Bilqis was told: Enter the palace. Beforehand, beneath the path leading to the palace, a water pool had been built, fish had been put into it, and its top had been covered with crystal, that is, transparent glass. So when Bilqis was told to enter the palace, she could not grasp that one would pass over the glass, and, taking it there for deep water, she lifted her skirt up. So when Solomon said, "This is a floor made of crystal," Bilqis understood her mistakes, and realizing that by worshipping the sun she had worshipped until then she had wronged her own self, she said with remorse: O Allah, together with Solomon I have submitted to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

Her saying "together with Solomon" means that she accepted Solomon as the servant and messenger of Allah — that is what she was declaring. In this way she accepted Islam, submitted to the one Allah and became a Muslim. That Solomon and Bilqis married and that Bilqis's mother was a jinn is not found in the verses of the Holy Quran. You know, the fabrications: does a human marry a jinn? He can marry. He can marry, but is a human born? Does a soul come to it? Yes. After Bilqis became a Muslim, she was sent back to Yemen. She continued to rule there until she died. Solomon ruled for about 40 years.

He passed on to the hereafter at the age of 53. It says at the age of 53, but this 500 (?) will probably be age 53. It says at the age of 53; they say Solomon lived 500 years. Let us see. He passed on to the hereafter at the age of 53. This people split into two. Well, here the situation is this: Solomon ruled for about 40 years. He passed on to the hereafter at the age of 53. Although his son succeeded him, among the people of the Children of Israel disputes arose. This people split into two. They founded states, one named Judah and the other the State of Israel. The capital of the state of Judah was the city of Jerusalem.

Its rulers were the sons and grandsons of Solomon.

The State of Israel — one of the servants of Solomon (peace be upon him) founded it. They were divided into ten tribes descended from one father, and they were known by the name Children of Israel. Their capitals were Nablus and later the city of Samaria. This people went astray and became a people chasing after vain things.
