Tafsir
When Prophet Salih said to his people, "Serve Allah and obey Him," the people, who were two groups, started to quarrel and enmity with each other. Salih, who was not pleased with this situation, addressed his people and said: "O my people! What evil have you seen from Allah, besides the fact that you only say Allah when there is goodness, that is, when there is nothing between you, so that you act as enemies to Allah? And you are enemies to those who say Allah. But Allah wants people to strengthen each other and to get along as brothers on the earth. He teaches them what they do not know and prepares for them a good abode in the Hereafter. He said, 'Why do you wrong yourselves by abandoning them when Allah has sent His admonitions?
Should you not turn to Allah and repent and ask forgiveness for your evil deeds? He said, "If you turn to Allah and repent and ask forgiveness, it is hoped that Allah will forgive you and have mercy on you.
What is said in the video
Surah An-Naml, verse 46 Salih said: O my people! Why do you rush to evil while good is at hand? Today, while good is at hand in the world, Allah Almighty says: We created the earth wide. What is the reason for this rushing to evil? Will you take the world along with you? For everyone, what he eats as much as he eats (?), what he wears as much as he wears, as much as he drinks, the water he drinks is his provision; the rest is a thing that will remain (?). What are you chasing that you kill so many people, and (?) people from their places and homelands? Everyone, for the covenant he gave to Allah Almighty, in return, of the scenario he had written for this world and the hereafter, will do the (?). As far as Allah Almighty has informed us, into that mass of fire in Hell, with iron chains bound and with iron whips being struck, who will earn that?
So, those who crave worldly goods like this, who lean their backs on what Allah created, who oppress Allah's creatures, who (?) them from their places and homelands, who spill the blood of those who say Allah and take pleasure in it: that is the place such people will go. This world is the likeness and shadow of the hereafter. A thousand years here are one day of the hereafter. If you live sixty, seventy years here, you live an hour and a half. For your life of an hour and a half, you end up subjected to the eternal oppression of the hereafter. That is where you remain. Here, if a needle pricks your hand, if a thorn pricks it, you keep moaning.
If a misfortune touches you, you go from doctor to doctor to save your life. In the realm of the hereafter, when you are left there alone and forsaken, you will find no helper, nor will you find a way out of there.
Is it worth it now, the pleasure and delight of this world, (?) to live like that? Is it worth it? One day you will pass away. Yes, live; we have nothing against your living, but alongside it, know Allah. Live knowing Allah. In fact, if you live knowing Allah, you cannot live in such pleasure and indulgence. What do they say about people who know Allah? They live like grass. The reason for living of a person who lives like grass, what is it like? He prays five times a day. When he sees a poor person, he helps him if he can. If he finds someone fallen, he wants to take him by the hand and lift him up.
This man is compassionate toward people. In his heart there are no (?) of hostility and hatred. Because he is a Muslim. A Muslim is a person of faith. And the people of faith are at peace. Beside peace, hatred and gloom find no place. So they say these people live like grass because they don't care about this world. How does he himself live? On dark and swampy paths.
Like the (?) flower of the Zaqqum tree, the more he plunges into that swamp, the more he sinks. To save himself from there, he clutches at everything around him. With the filth of the people around him, from their adultery, their gambling, their affairs, their killing, from every kind of vice and filth, from denying Allah, Satan's head (?), unable to give up following Satan (?), writhing in unrest, in dire straits, his world collapsing on his head, such a person. He seeks peace. Where? In drink. Where? In adultery. Where? In gambling. Where? Where Allah does not want. For a moment, to find that day's peace, for a moment's pleasure, he afterwards endures manifold unrest.
This is the life of the non-Muslim. In a layered heart and in unrest. The more he lies, he lies, the more he speaks, he contradicts himself in his lies, without heeding human honor, dignity, self-respect, in his helplessness he grins like a clown. Like a clown. And because his vein of shame is torn, he feels no shame, he is not ashamed. Because they too, you, don't seek honor. Why don't seek honor? Because Allah Almighty says: if you seek might and honor, might and honor are with Allah. As Satan says: lying is the amusement of my heart. The non-Muslim is in the same state; today, before all our eyes, are we lying? The weapons he has given to terrorists, the weapons, the training; on one hand he says, I'm not giving them.
On the other hand it is proven. On one hand he says, I will withdraw from here. On the other hand he makes plans to take over there. Now, does this befit this person? Do these words befit a person who governs a state? Yes.
Today, even in a Muslim, you cannot find the lie he tells. In a Muslim, even if he doesn't pray the five daily prayers, even if he doesn't fulfill the pillars of Islam, you won't find lies in him like the lies the non-Muslim tells. Yes. That's why their words cannot be believed.
Each of them smiles to your face. Each of them does what he will do behind your back. Today he cannot confront you. From behind, he has his pawns play against you. Yes.
Salih said: O my people, why do you rush to evil while good is at hand? Could you not ask Allah for forgiveness? Perhaps you will be shown mercy, he says. Perhaps your lying will stop. Perhaps Allah will open unknown doors upon you. Perhaps, more than what you would gain by spilling people's blood and invading their lands, He will give you provision. That is Allah. Yes. When the Prophet Salih told his people to be servants of Allah and obey Him, a people that became two groups, this people, with one another resorted to quarrel and hostility. Salih (peace be upon him), whose heart was not content with this, addressed his people: O my people, while good is at hand, that is, while there is nothing between you, besides merely saying Allah, what evil have you seen from Allah that you act as enemies of Allah?
You also become enemies to those who say Allah. Whereas Allah, binding people firmly to one another, wants them to live like brothers on earth. He teaches them what they do not know. And in the hereafter He prepares a beautiful home for them. Since Allah Almighty has sent His counsel, why do you abandon it and engage in oppression among yourselves, he said. Alongside the evils you have done, if you turned to Allah and repented and sought forgiveness, wouldn't that be good? If you turn to Allah and repent and seek forgiveness, it is hoped that Allah will forgive you and have mercy, he said.
