Translation
And We have saved those who believe and abstain (from disobeying Allah).
Tafsir
And those among the people of Thamud who believed in Allah and obeyed His Messenger, He separated them from the evil people and saved them. Allah will punish those who cause mischief and mischief in the earth, who forget Allah in pride and arrogance towards one another, who commit injustice, who plot treacherously in secret, who associate partners with Allah, as Allah will punish them for their deeds on earth, so He will punish them in the Hereafter.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 53 of Surah An-Naml. "And We saved those who believed and guarded against disobeying Allah," it says. What did we say a moment ago? When, among a people, their prophet warns that people, and if the order of destruction for that people has been issued, He takes the Prophet and those who follow him out of there. If there is a servant who is a wali in a town, and if from Allah Almighty destruction is to come upon that town too, if a calamity is to come, He takes that wali servant of His out of there too. He creates a reason and takes him out of there. This is Allah's unchanging law.
What does it say? Surah An-Naml, verse 53. "And those who believed and guarded against disobeying Allah, We saved." Among the people of Thamud, those who believed in Allah and obeyed their prophet He separated from the evil people and saved. So, those on earth who stir up sedition and corruption, who toward one another become proud and arrogant and forget Allah, who oppress unjustly, who secretly and treacherously lay traps, who ascribe partners to Allah: just as Allah on earth punishes them for what they did, in the Hereafter too He will make them taste the greatest punishment.
