Translation

(Oh My Messenger!) When the infidels see you, they mock you, saying, “is this the one who keeps mocking your deities?” However, they are the ones who deny the Book of Rahman (Allah the Merciful).

Tafsir

When the Prophet (PBUH) called people to guidance and out of darkness into light, when he told people that the idols made by their hands were of no use even to themselves, that they could not be gods, and that they were the creations of Allah, the disbelievers, those who denied Allah and the Hereafter, could not find a word to say in the face of the Word of Truth, so when they saw the Prophet (PBUH), they could not help saying ignorant and mocking words, saying, "Is this the one who is talking about your gods?". However, they could not see how humiliating it was for them to worship objects made with their hands as gods because of their arrogance and pride.

Since their character is characterized by not recognizing Allah and not believing in the Books sent by Allah, they have written their destiny for themselves in the spirit world in proportion to the covenant they made with Allah. When they come to this world, people with the same characteristics deny Allah in the same way. Allah knows what the people or the creatures He has created will do from the past to the end of time, so He says: "These are the disbelievers".

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 36. My Messenger, when the unbelievers see you — "Is this the one who keeps disparaging your gods?" — saying this, they always mock you. Yet they are the very ones who deny the Book of Allah, the Most Merciful — they themselves. Yes. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) called people to guidance and from darkness to light, and the idols people made with their own hands — that they were of no use to them, that they could not be gods, that they too were created by Allah — when he explained this to people, the unbelievers, those who deny Allah and the hereafter, in the face of the word of truth could not find even a single word to say, so when they saw the Prophet (peace be upon him), with ignorant and mocking words they said, "Is this the one who keeps disparaging your gods?" That is, belittling the Prophet, while they themselves are very proud.

Why? Because he has turned his back on Allah. Because he has turned his back on Allah: "Look, I defy the Creator of the worlds. I don't recognize Him." Look at the nafs, the nafs. If you don't recognize Him, until when will you not recognize Him? Fine. In return for the covenant you gave Allah Almighty of your own will — though our Lord did not interfere with any of us — of our own will, our own wishes and feelings we had written for ourselves as destiny. O human, here you have seen Me. So then: "If You had sent me to a hidden world, I would have obeyed You." Now I will send you to a hidden world.

There you will call yourself as witness to those around you and to Me. And when I again cause you to die in the earthly world, raise you in the hereafter and call you to account, you will be able to find a single word to blame Me. Then, by your own wish and desire, the punishment of hell you will have bought — so says Allah Almighty. Yes.

What does it say? "Is this the one who keeps disparaging your gods?" Saying this, they could not stop scoffing, that is, mocking. Yet how much their worshipping, as gods, objects they had made with their own hands made them degrade themselves, they could not see because of their arrogance and pride. Now here, Allah Almighty created man honoured. He gave him reason.

From atom to globe, Allah created matter. Now, I shaped what Allah created into this form. Allah forbid. I called this my god. I worshipped it. I slaughtered animals for it. I made wishes and requests of it. Does it know about this? No, it is lifeless matter. And on the Day of Judgement He will call them. "Where are My partners?" Allah Almighty will say. "Where are My partners?" They will come; Allah Almighty will have them brought. Was it you who told them: "I am Allah's partner. Indeed, I too have a share in creation"? "O Allah, we didn't even know about ourselves. How would we know?" they will say.

Thereupon they will vanish. That is the real ignorance: that the person who calls himself the true intellectual is inside the circle of ignorance; that the so-called intellectual turns his back on Allah; that the so-called intellectual, in return for worldly gain, merely out of longing for the life of this transient world, recognizes neither homeland nor nation, neither his Lord nor his Messenger nor his Book; that the only thing he recognizes is to flatter his carnal feelings and, in pride and arrogance, pursuing his ego, outdoing even Satan, sir — living out his own state of the nafs. Now, can you call this person intelligent?

In my view, a madman is more intelligent than him. Then does the madman have reason? At least he has no reason, and yet he still manages himself, you see. Allah Almighty will not call him to account. He has no reason, because he cannot know. He came like that, and he will go like that. What happened? The madman turned out more intelligent than him.

Yes, these are intellectuals — I'm not saying all of them, far from it; there are such people who would outdo even us, people useful to the country; I'm not saying it of all of them. So, because in their characters the trait of not recognizing Allah and not believing in the Books Allah sent is present, they — earlier, in the world of spirits, in measure with the covenant they gave Allah — had their wishes written for themselves as destiny. When they come to the earthly world, people carrying the same characters likewise deny Allah. Since Allah Almighty knows what, from the beginning to eternity, the coming people or the beings He created will do, He declares: these are the very unbelievers themselves.
