Tafsir
Allah is the absolute power and owner of this universe. There is no protector other than Allah who protects this universe and human beings. Allah (swt) is telling people that no other creature is capable of protecting this universe and its creatures except Allah (swt), the Creator and Owner of this universe. By reminding people of this situation, Allah (swt) tells His Messenger (say, "Who will protect you against Allah day and night?") Again, Allah will protect you. Therefore, people should remember Allah, remember Him, continue in worship and worship, and submit to Allah in gratitude. But the disbelievers turn away from this.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 42. Say: Who will protect you from Allah by night and by day? By Allah, no one can protect you. No one can. All the people in this world, plus as many people again, plus the jinn too, plus add up everything between the heavens and the earth. No one can protect as Allah protects. Because in an instant a disaster, in an instant an earthquake, in an instant the Last Day breaking out, in an instant everything scattered like carded wool. So no being can protect man as Allah can. So which person will you lean your back on? That person just dies. Which tree will you lean on? It too rots away.
Which stone, which object will you lean on? They all break apart. So the One who is Hüve'l-evvelü ve'l-âhiru ve'z-zâhiru ve'l-bâtın, Allah, Allah, eternal without end and without beginning, the Manifest and the Hidden, Allah who created the worlds: lean your back on Him. Please, so that you find life through Him. Otherwise we are in a very bad way.
So who will protect you from Allah night and day? Yet they turn away from remembering their Lord, it says.
They turn away from remembering Allah. What does Allah want from us? For the health of my body, so that I am saved from heart disease: take ablution, pray for the health of your body. If you overload a car, that car overheats and quickly breaks down. Fast now and then, let your body rest, He says. It is a trust. For how you use the trust I gave you, I will call you to account, says Allah Almighty. He tells me what to watch out for so that I live healthily in this world. So that I live in good health and a good life, my Lord holds His word before me as a light. If I turn away from it, if I turn my back on it, I remain in darkness.
If I try to live by my own reason, as far as it reaches,
if I think myself free and do whatever I want, in the end I suffer loss, I see that what I did was of no use; I both waste my time and squander my money. In that case, inside a world that is a swamp, in order to (?) my own nafs, in this swamp I sink deeper and deeper; in the end I taste eternal punishment from my Lord. May Allah protect us.
Please, pray your five daily prayers. Please, fast in Ramadan. Say: Ya Allah. Give thanks for the provision given to you. Say: My Lord, praise be to You. Say Alhamdulillah. Of this provision given to you, since they are your brothers in Islam, let them too have a little taste. The provision given to you is not only your provision; your child's provision is in it, your neighbor's provision, the provision of the poor, the needy, the stranded traveler. What does Allah Almighty say? Help the poor, the one in need, the stranded traveler. So He gives us their provision too. Allah does not take from me to give it; He is not stingy, God forbid.
Out of what He gives us He gives theirs too, and if I hold it back, He closes my account. Once upon a time a man had withdrawn into the hollow of a mountain cave, into the hollow of a cave on the mountain, and he always remembered Allah. Allah Almighty would send him a pomegranate every day. One pomegranate. Then one day he sees that two pomegranates come.
The pomegranate tree, which gave one pomegranate, gives two. He says: let me keep one of these pomegranates, I'll eat this one and eat that one another time. That day a guest comes.
He gives him some of his pomegranate. Of his pomegranate. Then, the next day, after the guest has left, he sees there is no pomegranate on the tree. My Allah, today You did not give me my pomegranate. I gave you the guest's pomegranate too. You did not give it to him. So today, in its place, there is no pomegranate for you, He says.
So if we give, our Lord gives to us. If we give, our Lord gives to us. If we give to the poor, to the needy, if we give willingly for Allah's sake, (?) (?) O My servant, if you gave for My sake, (?) here, take this much, He says. Here, take twelvefold, threefold, tenfold, seventyfold, a hundredfold. Yes. We live these things.
People cannot comprehend what we do. In this association everyone is a simple, modest person.
We have spent over a billion through this association; we are amazed. Where did this money come from, where did it go? We bought apartments, we helped people, again and again; I mean, we give. We are truly amazed. Who is this, where did it come from, where did it go? But (?) the places are known: we had a mosque built, for the children, well, we bought apartments. Not one apartment, not two, not three; we keep buying. So if you give, Allah gives. He gives you more. Taking from you, from the right of what you worked for, Allah Almighty does not say (?) to you. Why, the worlds belong to Allah anyway.
Yes. So who will protect you from Allah night and day? Yet they turn away from remembering their Lord. Oh. Facing so many blessings, with our remembrance of our Lord in return, I am ashamed. I am truly ashamed. Then again, what do I rely on? It says: the scholar clings to knowledge and finds life. What does it say? The scholar clings to knowledge and finds life. And I say: may my Lord not load on our backs a burden beyond our strength. When I act (?) toward my nafs, forgive me. I am truly helpless in the worship I perform. Even if I read the Quran, I cannot repay Allah's blessing upon me. Even if I remember Allah, that day I still cannot give thanks equal to His blessing. If I rise at night for tahajjud, it is the same; whatever I do, I cannot render what is due for Allah's blessing upon me.
As humans we are incapable of this.
So the burden we cannot bear (?), Allah Almighty does not lay it on our backs. So what then? What would happen if we said Allah? Our Lord grants us abundant gifts. When we say Allah, when we lean on Him, when we trust Him, He raises our rank. Through giving charity, He clears some calamities ahead of us out of the way. Yes. Our Master say: Who will protect you from Allah night and day? Yet they turn away from remembering their Lord. Allah Almighty is the absolute power and owner of this universe; apart from Allah there is not a single protector who protects this universe and people. So Allah Almighty tells people that, apart from Allah, who created this universe and is its owner, no created being is able to protect the universe and the created beings.
That is what He declares. Reminding people of this, Allah Almighty tells His Beloved: Say, who will protect you from Allah night and day? Again, Allah will protect. So one must remember Allah, make dhikr, and continue in obedience and worship. One must submit to Allah Almighty with gratitude. But the disbelievers have turned away from this. Yes.
