Al-Anbya 43: Or do they have some deities that will protect them from Us? (The things they call Gods) don’t even have the strength to help themselves. And they will not see attention and protection from Us.

Translation

Or do they have some deities that will protect them from Us? (The things they call Gods) don’t even have the strength to help themselves. And they will not see attention and protection from Us.

Tafsir

Those who do not fear Allah, deny Allah and the Hereafter and mock His Prophets. Do they have any proofs to present against Allah or any gods? Their idols, whom they worship as gods by making the objects of Allah's creation all-encompassing with their hands, do neither good nor harm, not even to themselves.

The idols worshipped by the polytheists have no support from Allah (swt). If Allah had given support to the idols they worshipped, it would have been right for the polytheists to worship the images they made with their hands other than Allah, because Allah had given support to them. So Allah does not make any being other than Himself prostrate to Him and call Him Lord. In order for people to worship other than Allah, Allah does not show interest in and support the idols that people worship. On the contrary, on the Day of Judgment, these objects will say, "We were unaware of their worshipping us," and they will turn away from the idolaters.

What is said in the video

We have come to the forty-third verse. Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 43.

Or do they have gods that will defend them against Us?

Those things they call gods are not even able to help themselves. Never mind power, they are not even aware of themselves.

Nor do they receive attention and support from Us. Of course. Where would it get attention from? Come on, you are, well, the god of so-and-so. Let me prove him a liar to you. Let me show you a little attention. Or let me give you what he asks of you, so you give it to him. It shows no attention either. (?) lifeless things that Allah created. Yes.

Those who do not fear Allah Almighty deny Allah and the Hereafter and mock their prophets. Do they have any proof in hand to present against Allah Almighty, or any god? The idols they shape with their hands from things Allah created and worship as gods bring neither benefit nor harm even to themselves. The idols the polytheists worship also receive no support from Allah Almighty. Had Allah given attention and support to the idols they worship, then, since Allah would be showing attention and support to the shapes the polytheists make with their hands besides Allah, people's worship of them would be rightful.

But Allah lets no being other than Himself, by having others prostrate to it, be made known as Lord.

For (?) worship besides Allah, Allah Almighty does not concern Himself with the idols people worship, nor does He support them. On the contrary, on the Day of Judgment these things too will say:

We were unaware that they worshipped us, and they will distance themselves from the idolaters. Yes.
