Translation

Then, they returned back to their old roots and said, “you know very well that these don’t speak.”

Tafsir

The polytheists tasted the Truth for a moment. They realized that they were wrongdoers. When they made a covenant with Allah (swt) in kalu bela'at, they reverted to their old selves as they had made their covenant by denying Allah (swt). They said in ignorant and unintelligible words that you know very well that these idols cannot speak. With these words they revealed their ignorance and resisted Allah, their Creator, in a selfish and vindictive way.

What is said in the video

Uh, Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 65. Then they again returned to their old beliefs and disputes. "You know very well that these do not speak," they said. How nicely they put it.

The polytheists, even if only for a moment, (?) the truth. They realized that they were wrongdoers. Because at Qalu Bala, when they made the covenant with Allah Almighty, they gave their pledge as ones denying Allah, they again took on their old state.

With ignorant words that no mind could accept, they said: "You know very well that these idols cannot speak." With these words too they revealed their ignorance and, against Allah who created them, they resisted spitefully, driven by their nafs. Yes.
