Translation

(Abraham) said, “(if so) do you leave Allah and still worship to things that can neither benefit nor harm you, Why?

Tafsir

Abraham 'alaihis-salâm' said to the polytheists who persisted, "Then, he said, will you still worship something that does you no good or harm, except Allah? Will you not realize that by associating them as partners with Allah you are disbelieving and rebelling against Allah? Will you still continue in the darkness of shirk, which Satan, your enemy, has tolerated for you?

What is said in the video

To verse 66 of Surah Al-Anbiya we have now come.

Abraham said, "Then will you, forsaking Allah, still worship something that can neither benefit nor harm you at all?" Indeed, it does you no harm and no good. Will you still, he says, forsake the One who created the worlds and makes so many beings move around one another without error, Allah Almighty, he says, and to lifeless things will you bow in worship? To the polytheists who dug in their heels, Abraham (peace be upon him) said: "Then will you, forsaking Allah, still worship something that can neither benefit nor harm you at all? Do you still not understand that these too are Allah's creations?

That by making these partners to Allah you have plunged into kufr and rebelled against Allah, will you still not realize it? In the darkness of shirk that Satan, your enemy, makes look fair to you, will you still go on?" he said. Yes.
