“Woe upon you and the things that you worship to, other than Allah. Do you not use your intellect?”
Tafsir
When Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) saw that his people were still disbelieving and disobeying Allah by associating partners with Him, he said to them: "Woe to you and to what you worship besides Allah! Will you not come to your senses.) He said.
Let not a man make his covenant as a rebel against Allah. They hear the Truth, but they oppose the Truth with hatred and pride so as not to hear it. They are deaf. They see the Truth but are incapable of comprehending it, and in the face of miracles they say it is magic. Those who see the Truth but cannot comprehend it are blind. In this state, their hearts are sealed against the Truth. Therefore, they do not return to the eternal Truth.
Although they understood the Truth for a moment in the face of the truths shown to them by Hazrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm', they then returned to their old beliefs and faiths and continued to disbelieve.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 67: Shame on you and on the things you worship instead of Allah, it says. Alhamdulillah. Shame on you and on the things you worship instead of Allah. Will you not come to your senses, it says. A single person, a single person, to a town, to a town, not to a few people, to a town we are trying to give life. A single person. That is the love of Allah. That is winning Allah's love. In Surah Al-Kahf, too, did those young men not resist that king? And did Allah not protect them? He will protect Abraham like this too.
This is the proof of Allah's existence. All right, you don't see it. Well, didn't we live through these things too? You know, our fathers tell of how things were for their fathers. We were like this, like that, we came from here, went there, we did this, we did that, my father did this, did that. Will you not believe? Is your father lying? Is the Prophet lying? As against the One who created the worlds, the things of these visible worlds created as lacking, would a person worship lifeless matter like this?
What does it say now? Shame on you... verse 67, Surah Al-Anbiya: Shame on you and on the things you worship instead of Allah. Will you not come to your senses? When Abraham (peace be upon him), despite laying so many proofs before his people, saw his people continuing in shirk and rebellion by associating partners with Allah Almighty, he said to them: Shame on you and on the things you worship instead of Allah. Will you not come to your senses? Let a person never once make his pledge as one rebellious against Allah. They hear the truth. So as not to hear it, they oppose the truth with hatred and pride.
These are deaf. They see the truth but are unable to grasp it. Faced with miracles, they say: This is magic. They see the truth but cannot grasp it. These are blind too. In this state their hearts are sealed against the truth. Therefore they can never return to the truth.
So, in the face of the truths Abraham (peace be upon him) showed them, although for a moment they understood the truth, they then returned to their old faith and beliefs and continued in unbelief. Yes.
