We saved him and Lot and made them reach a land in which We gave abundant of blessings for the worlds.
Tafsir
Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' lived in the time of Hadrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm'. Hadrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm' loved Hadrat Lot 'alaihis-salâm' very much. The angels who were to destroy the people of Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm' came to Hadrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm' as guests before they visited Hadrat Lut 'alaihis-salâm'. Hadrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm was suspicious of their refusal to eat and said, 'I am afraid of you. The angels then gave him the good news of a son by Allah's permission. They also said that they would destroy the people of Lot. Hadrat Ibrahim 'alaihis-salâm' felt very sad about Hadrat Lut and prayed to Allah (swt) for Hadrat Lut.
Allah, Who destroys people like the people of Lot, who were transgressors who did not believe in Allah and the Hereafter, also destroys those who differed about Prophet Abraham and were unjust among them. He brings His prophets to salvation.
(We rescued him and Lot and brought them to the land in which We gave blessings to the world.) The land in which We gave blessings to the world is the present Damascus and Palestine. The meaning of this verse is that many Prophets grew up in these lands and enlightened their way by telling people about Allah. He is referring to his Prophets in this verse where he says that We have given blessings to the world. He declares that it is with these that He illuminates people's paths and brings them to life.
What is said in the video
We have come to Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 71. We saved him and Lot and brought them to the land in which We placed blessings for all the worlds. Lot was his uncle's son; Abraham loved him very much. When he escaped the fire there and set out, together with Lot they set out. What does it say? We saved him and Lot and brought them to the land in which We placed blessings for all the worlds. Lot (peace be upon him) lived in the time of Abraham (peace be upon him). Abraham (peace be upon him) loved Lot (peace be upon him) very much. The angels who were to wipe out the people of Lot (peace be upon him), before visiting Lot (peace be upon him), came to Abraham (peace be upon him) as guests. When they did not eat, Abraham (peace be upon him) grew suspicious and said: I am wary of you.
Thereupon, by Allah's leave, the angels gave him the good news of a son. They also said they would destroy the people of Lot. Greatly grieved about Lot, Abraham (peace be upon him) prayed to Allah Almighty for Lot. Thus Allah Almighty, who destroys people like the people of Lot, who do not believe in Allah and the hereafter and transgress the bounds, likewise, those who fell into division over Abraham and the wrongdoers among them, He brings to loss in this way. His prophets, however, He brings to safety. We saved him and Lot and brought them to the land in which We placed blessings for all the worlds. The land He calls in which We placed blessings for all the worlds is the present-day region of Damascus and Palestine. From this verse this meaning follows: many prophets grew up in these lands and, telling people about Allah, lit up their way.
Here, with the verse's words in which We placed blessings for all the worlds, He means the prophets, the prophets. Through them He lit up people's paths and brought them to life, He declares.
