Al-Anbya 77: We saved him from a nation that was denying Our verses. Verily, they were an evil nation and thus, We buried all of them under water.

Translation

We saved him from a nation that was denying Our verses. Verily, they were an evil nation and thus, We buried all of them under water.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) protected Hazrat Noah from the people who disbelieved in the Verses of Allah and brought him to safety.

When people disbelieve in Allah's Verses and at the same time engage in harmful and evil activities in the earth, Allah does not give these two traits to people at the same time. When these two traits come together, the earth is in mischief. It becomes as if it has no owner. Therefore, Allah destroys both those who deny the Verses of Allah and those who engage in evil activities. Such was the case with the people of Prophet Noah (peace be upon him). Allah (swt) abolished destruction on earth for the sake of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.). He only gives two or three calamities a year to people who are equipped with these qualities. It is to make them come to their senses and return to the Truth.

He drowned the whole of this people who did not listen to Noah (peace be upon him) who had been inviting people to Allah for many years and who were engaged in evil activities in the earth and who were unfriendly to each other. He rescued Noah and his believers from this troublesome destruction and brought them to salvation.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 77: We protected him from the people who denied Our signs. Truly, they were an evil people. That is why We drowned them all together in the water, He says. Allah Almighty. Allah Almighty, by protecting Noah (peace be upon him) from the people who denied Allah's signs, brought him to safety.

If peoples both deny Allah's signs and engage in harmful and evil activities on earth, Allah does not grant people these two traits together. When these two traits come together, the earth falls into corruption. It looks as if it had no owner. For this reason, those who deny Allah's signs as well as those who engage in evil activities are destroyed by Allah. The people of Noah (peace be upon him) were like this too. On earth, Allah Almighty, for the sake of the Beloved of the Almighty, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), has lifted the destructions. To people endowed with these traits He sends only two or three calamities a year.

This is so that they come to their senses and return to the truth. So those who did not listen to Noah (peace be upon him), who invited people to Allah for long years, and who engaged in evil activities on earth, this people who envied one another, all of them together He drowned in the water. He saved Noah and those who believed from this grievous destruction and brought them to safety. Yes.
