Tafsir

Jinns and devils were also given under the command of Hazrat Solomon. Among these demons, they used to dive into the sea for Solomon and extract precious jewels and pearls from the sea and give them to Solomon. In addition, the jinn under the command of Prophet Solomon built many cities and worked in various artistic skills.

The jinn, who were under the supervision of Allah (swt), could not deviate from the command of Solomon. Because they knew that they were being watched over by Allah. In this respect, they would not fail to obey Solomon.

Allah (swt) also placed the winds at the command of Solomon and taught him the language of speech through birds and His creatures. Allah is omnipotent. Allah shows people what He is capable of, what He bestows on those who wish, and how He proves His existence to mankind that there is no other god but Him.

Solomon 'alaihis-salâm' was the son of Hadrat Dawud 'alaihis-salâm' as stated in the verse. After the death of Hadrat Dawud (peace be upon him), Hadrat Solomon (peace be upon him), who was only thirteen years old, succeeded his father on the throne. After that, Allah (swt) bestowed upon him Prophethood. The city where he lived and ruled was Jerusalem. He completed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in seven years.

Many sultans obeyed him because he was a Prophet and wise, had the jinn under his command in his time, and built many cities. Among them, Belkıs, one of the rulers of Himyer, the Queen of Yemen, came and visited him.

During the time of Hazrat Solomon, science and art were highly valued. In this respect, science and art flourished during the time of Hazrat Solomon, and merchants traveling by sea and land used to bring very valuable items to the city of Jerusalem. He also wrote poems named (Agani) and a Book of wisdom. Hadrat Solomon also had a vizier named Asaf who was wise and wise.

Hadrat Suleiman died in nine hundred and sixty-two or nine hundred and seventy-six B.C., at the age of fifty-three or sixty, after being sultan for forty years. After his death, his son succeeded him. His son could not manage the country and there were divisions between them. The Children of Israel were divided into two states because of these divisions. One was the state of (Yehuda). The center of their administration was Jerusalem. They were more respected among the people.

The other was the state of Israel. Their administrative center was the city of Nablush and then Samaria. This state consisted of ten tribes. In this respect, their rulers were called Mülüki ispat. They were rebels and usurpers against the state of Judah. In the end, both of these states went astray. They began to oppose the Shari'ah of Musa 'alaihis-salâm' and many innovations arose among them.

In fact, idolatry arose in the State of Israel and they began to worship an idol called (Beal). Finally, the state of Israel was devastated by the Assyrians. The state of Judah was also attacked by (Buhtinosser) and many Jews were taken into captivity in Babylon. Later, the Israelites were under the rule of the Persians, Greeks and Romans.

What is said in the video

In verse 82 of Surah Al-Anbiya: among the devils, too, there were some who for him dived and brought up pearls and did other work besides. This was keeping them under watch. We were keeping them under watch. Under watch. Yes.

Jinn and devils, too, had been placed under Solomon's command. Among these devils, for Solomon, they dive into the sea and bring up precious jewels and pearls from it. These were given to Solomon. In addition, the jinn placed under Solomon's command built up many cities and worked in all kinds of arts and crafts. Now Solomon's treasure is what the Jews, the Children of Israel, are looking for, digging under Masjid al-Aqsa. They will find Solomon's treasure.

These people are, to the point of not knowing themselves, devoid of reason. They have turned all their reason toward winning the world. To take what Allah created they turn their backs even on Allah; unaware of what Allah Almighty tells us, senseless, foolish people.

Although Bilqis sent treasure to Solomon (peace be upon him), he did not accept it; it went back. When Solomon brought up pearls and precious things from the seas, he did not bring them up to keep for himself. He brought them up to found cities and help people there. And today, against the verse "those who, with their wealth and property, buy Paradise", would a prophet amass wealth and leave the treasure to those who come after him? Look, Solomon (peace be upon him), who spent all he had for Allah and for Allah made jinn and devils work under his command, did not leave behind even a single penny.

Not a penny. People too pitiful to even think of this. They are looking for treasure. Treasure! What treasure? If he had left that treasure, what would the treasure have been? A prophet inclined to the world, who felt love for what Allah created — that is what he would have become. No prophet has left treasure behind. You will not find any prophet who left treasure in this world. Yes, the jinn, being under Allah Almighty's watch, would not step out of Solomon's command. Because they knew that they were being watched by Allah. For this reason they did not fall short in obeying Solomon.

Moreover, Allah Almighty had placed the winds under Solomon's command and taught him the language for speaking with the birds and the creatures He created. Allah Almighty has power over all things. Through these, Allah shows people what Allah has power over, what He grants to whom He wills, and how, proving His existence to people, there is no other god besides Him.

Solomon (peace be upon him), as stated in the verse, is David's (peace be upon him) son.

After David (peace be upon him) died, Solomon, who was only 13 years old, took the throne in his father's place. After that, Allah Almighty granted him prophethood. The city where he lived and ruled is Jerusalem. He completed, finished Al-Aqsa Mosque in 7 years. Because Solomon was a prophet and wise, and at that time the jinn were under his command and he built up many cities, many kings showed obedience to him. Among them Bilqis, queen of Yemen, of the Himyarite rulers, came and visited him.

In Solomon's time they valued knowledge and art very highly. For this reason, in Solomon's time knowledge and art flourished, and merchants travelling the seas and lands brought very precious goods to the city of Jerusalem. He also has poems called Agani and a book of wisdom. Solomon also had a vizier named Asaf. This vizier was intelligent and possessed wisdom.

After ruling as king for 40 years, Solomon, at the age of 53 or 60, in the year 962 or 976 BC, died. After his death his son succeeded him. His son could not govern the country. Divisions arose among them. Because of these divisions the Children of Israel split into two states. One was a state called Judah. The center from which they were governed was Jerusalem. These were more respected among the people. The other was the state of Israel. Their seat of government was Nablus, and later the city of Samaria. This state was made up of ten tribes. For this reason their rulers were (?). They were called Müliki Ispat.

Yes, for this reason their rulers were called Müliki Ispat. They were rebellious and usurping toward the state of Judah. In the end these two states strayed from the right path. They began to oppose the law of Moses (peace be upon him), and among them many innovations (bid'ah) arose. Idolatry even appeared in the state of Israel, and they had begun to worship an idol called Baal. Finally the state of Israel was, by the Assyrians, brought to ruin. The state of Judah, too, was attacked by Nebuchadnezzar. Many Jews were taken captive in Babylon. Later on, the Children of Israel stayed under the Persians', the Greeks' and the Romans' rule.
