Translation

(Remember) Zechariah (Zachary) too! (Recall) when he made a supplication to his Lord and said, “Oh Dear My Lord! Do not leave me alone. You are the Best of Inheritors.”

Tafsir

Hadrat Zakariyya did not have a son for many years. In this situation, he prayed to Allah (swt); O my Lord, do not leave me alone. Give me a son and let him inherit the knowledge you have given me. Allah (swt) accepted the prayer of Hazrat Zakariyya 'alaihis-salâm' and gave him a son. This son was one of the righteous and his name was Yahya.

He surrendered himself to Allah (swt) saying, "If you do not grant me a son, you are the best of heirs and you are sufficient for me as my heir.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 89. And mention Zechariah. When he prayed to his Lord: My Lord, do not leave me alone. You are the best of inheritors. The same prayer, (?), I say too: O my Lord, do not leave me alone. The Prophet, too, prays like that, doesn't he: To my Lord, in whose hand of power my soul is, he says. What does this mean? I do not speak from anyone other than Him; unless He says it, I do not speak. He does not speak idly. I am surrendered to Him. I have put my trust in Him. Yes. We too have put our trust in our Lord. We say: Do not leave us alone. Without You there is no life. There is no living without Allah.

Whoever says "I am living" is in swamps, in oppression. That is not life.

Zechariah (peace be upon him) had no child for many years. In this situation he prays to Allah Almighty. O my Lord, do not leave me alone, grant me a child, and of this knowledge given to me let this child be the heir, he said. And Allah Almighty accepted the prayer of Zechariah (peace be upon him) and gave him a son. This son was among the righteous, and his name is John. Him they killed in prison.

And the Jews... Zechariah (peace be upon him), while going to save his son, realises he is being followed and gets inside a tree trunk. They close both ends of the trunk and saw it through the middle. Such cruel people. If You do not grant me a son, You are the best of inheritors; surely You are enough for me as my heir, he said, and to Allah Almighty he surrendered himself. Yes, Allah suffices for everything.
