Translation

The day in which We will fold up the sky like folding up stacks of written (paper). Just as We started with creation the first time, We will bring it again to that stage. This is a promise that We took on Us.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) explains His power and omnipotence in His verses addressed to mankind and every intellect. By encouraging man to think, imagine that He has rolled up the sky like a sheet of paper, which no power or force other than Allah is capable of. As an example of this, he says, "Just as it was first created", which tells us that Allah's power is superhuman and that none of the created beings are capable of it.

That is to say, before the creation of the universe, it was a mass of gases adjacent to each other. Then Allah separated them from each other. When this universe and its creatures are again separated from their own gravitational forces, and when these arrangements created with wisdom are disrupted, the whole universe will be swiftly caught in an infinite current, and from this current and speed, due to friction, it will flow like molten metal. These worlds will come together and be gathered together as they were first created, and these worlds and the universe will be rolled up as an old and used piece of paper is rolled up.

This is how Allah expresses His power and might and His omnipotence. You will find no deficiency or error in the Word of Allah. If Allah promises something, it is so. No one can prove otherwise, not even scientifically. Even those who do not believe in Allah, when they study the Holy Qur'an, invent many sciences from Allah's Verses. Therefore, every rational person knows that Allah exists and that He has power and might. But they cannot submit to Allah's commands because of their arrogance and pride.

So the promise of Allah is the truth. This is a promise that Allah has taken upon Himself. The meaning of this promise is that Allah (swt) declares that death is true, the Day of Judgment is true, and the Hereafter is the realm of reckoning. There will be death and the end of the world, so that life can begin again in the Hereafter and people will be held to account.

This is how Allah backs up all His words, one after the other. By saying that the breaking of the Hour is a promise that we have taken upon ourselves, Allah (swt) again says in His verses that the breaking of the Hour is a promise that Allah (swt) has taken upon Himself. He reveals that people will be resurrected in the Hereafter and will be held accountable before Allah. It also proves that this is not a human word with the verse that says that all created beings will be returned to Allah, and all the verses support each other. If this were a human word, you would find in it many words that do not agree with each other.

So Allah's promise is true. If Allah declares that the Day of Judgment will come as a promise, then it will come. All souls will taste death. The order of the universe will be disrupted. All these worlds will come together and be rolled up like an old piece of paper. There will be nothing left in the universe except Allah (swt). Then Allah will resurrect those whom He has killed. He will gather humans and jinn in the Judgment. Apart from that, all other creatures will be gathered together and will perish after taking their rights from each other. Man and jinn will be reckoned for what they have done and sent to their rightful places. Allah's promise is true. This is a fact.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 104: Think of that day when, like rolling up a scroll of written pages, the sky We gather and roll up. Just as We began the first creation, We will bring it back to that state. This is a promise We took upon Ourselves. We do what We promise, He says.

Allah Almighty, His power and that He is capable of all things, addressing people and every being of reason, explains in His verses.

Prompting man to reflect: think, that which no power or might other than Allah could accomplish, the rolling up of the sky like a paper being rolled up, and as an example of this His saying "just as it was first created", show us that Allah's power is beyond the human and that none of His creatures could be capable of this.

So before the universe was created, it was a mass of gas joined together. Then Allah separated them from one another. Again, when the things created with this universe break away from their own gravitational forces and these orders created with knowledge are disrupted, the whole universe will be swept rapidly into a current in infinity. From this current and speed, owing to the friction, flowing like molten metal, it will come to a rolling-up. These worlds will merge into one another and, gathered together again as when first created, like an old and used paper is rolled up, these worlds and the universe will be rolled up.

So Allah, His strength and might, that He is capable of all things, explains. You cannot find any deficiency or error in Allah's word. If Allah promises something, it is so; the opposite of it no one, even (?), can prove. Even those who don't believe in Allah, when they study the Holy Quran, from Allah's verses are discovering many sciences. So every person of reason knows that Allah exists, that He is the owner of power and might; they know it. But out of arrogance and pride they do not bow to Allah's commands. So Allah's promise is true. This is a promise Allah has taken upon Himself. In this promise, Allah Almighty declares that death is true, the coming of the Last Hour is true, giving account in the hereafter is true.

Death and the coming of the Last Hour must happen so that life begins again in the hereafter and people are called to account. So Allah supports all His words like this, one after another, without gap; by saying that the coming of the Last Hour is a promise We took upon Ourselves, and again Allah Almighty, with His verses saying "who is more faithful to his promise than Allah", the coming of the Last Hour is a promise Allah took upon Himself. That people will be resurrected in the hereafter and called to account before Allah, He makes manifest. So, also with His verse saying all created beings will be returned to Allah, all the verses support one another and also prove that this is not the word of a human.

If this were the word of a human, you would find in it many words that contradict each other, He says. Therefore Allah's promise is true. If Allah announces the coming of the Last Hour as a promise He has taken upon Himself, the Last Hour will come. Every soul will taste death. The order of the universe will be disrupted. All these worlds will merge into one another and be rolled up like an old piece of paper. No being will remain in the universe other than Him. Then Allah will resurrect those He caused to die. He will gather humans and jinn at the Gathering. Apart from them, all creatures will be gathered and, after taking their rights from one another, will cease to exist. Humans and jinn will be called to account for what they did and to the places they deserve be sent. Allah's promise is true, this is a fact.
