Translation

(They) call unto things other than Allah that can neither benefit, nor harm (them). This is extremely astray (from the path of Allah).

Tafsir

Those who disbelieve in Allah, those who exchange the life of this world for the Hereafter, those who live in wealth in this world, those who think of spending their lives in wealth and ignore the Hereafter, are indeed people who have turned away from Allah and continue to live in a state of perversion.

They deny Allah, even though they know that Allah exists. The people who take the creatures of Allah as gods by making them with their hands, turn to the one who can neither harm nor benefit them by their supplication to them. Although they know intellectually that Allah is, they are pushed further into error by asking for idols made with their own hands. By worshipping that which does them more harm than good, they turn away from Allah and wrong their own souls. They buy the torment of the Hereafter while they are in this world.

Allah is One. There is no God other than Him. All creatures in time and space are the creations of Allah. The heavens and the earth and all that is between them remember Allah, Whom there is no god but His Essence.

So, O human being! If all living and non-living beings, whether animate or inanimate, inevitably remember Allah, is it not the epitome of perversion for you to be created as an equal creature, to be the superior of all creatures, and to be addressed to Allah's Essence, and therefore, by being created as an equal creature, to turn away from Allah, to encompass Allah's creation with your hands, and to worship it as a god?

What is said in the video

Surah Al-Hajj, verse 12. Leaving Allah, to things that can bring them neither benefit nor harm they plead. This is the very misguidance utterly far from the Truth.

That is, in this verse, to the idol-worshippers. He knows that he was created by someone. He goes and (?) with his hand what Allah created, and worships it. Because in the hereafter, in the realm of Lahut, when the souls were created and Allah Almighty said: I created you, people who saw Allah Almighty as being like themselves did not believe in Allah. They expected a Lord of their own imagination. He makes the shape of that Lord of his imagination in the world, and without realizing that Allah created those shapes he makes, thinking that he is clever, and the materials he in his hand (?), as Lord recognizing them and asking of them — pitiful people.

Those who deny Allah, people who swap worldly life and the hereafter, those who live in the world in plenty, thinking to spend their lives in plenty, people who pay no heed to the hereafter, have truly grown distant from Allah and are people who in misguidance go on living. Although they know that Allah exists, they deny Allah. People who (?) with their hands what Allah created and make gods of them for themselves, by pleading with them turn to what can give them neither harm nor benefit, those things they made, the beings that as God they worship. Although they know by reason that Allah exists, by asking from the idols they made with their hands, these people are pushed into utter misguidance.

In worship whose harm to them is greater than its benefit, they grow distant from Allah and wrong their nafs. They buy the punishment of the hereafter while still in this world.

Allah is One. There is no god other than Him.

One of the attributes of Allah Almighty is Hu. In fact the name Hu is used a lot. In the verses Allah Almighty uses the name Hu. For example, Hüvallâhüllezî lâ ilâhe illâ hû, illâ hû; Hu, Hu means the one who subsists by His own essence, not created by anyone, I mean, meaning neither begetting nor begotten, that is, in the sense of existing by Himself. Yes.

Allah is One, there is no god other than Him. All created beings within time and space are Allah's creation. Those between the heavens and the earth remember Allah, besides whom there is no god.

So then, O man, if all beings, living and non-living, willingly or not, remember Allah, then, since you were created the noblest of creatures, the most excellent of all created things, addressed by Allah's own Being — being created thus the noblest of creatures, your growing distant from Allah, your (?) with your hands what Allah created, your worshipping it as god — is this not misguidance itself? Yes.
