Al-Hajj 27: And proclaim the pilgrimage among people. They shall come in any way, whether on foot, or riding on weak camels that come from far away.

A. Metin Saruhan · 9 March 2018 · Al-Hajj

Translation

And proclaim the pilgrimage among people. They shall come in any way, whether on foot, or riding on weak camels that come from far away.

Tafsir

This is the first verse in which Allah (swt) invites people to Hajj. Therefore, Hajj started in the time of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Hadrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) invited people to pilgrimage. People who responded to this invitation, both on foot and on camels, those who love Allah, endured all kinds of hardships for the sake of Allah, and came to visit His Bayt. This visit continues today and will continue until the Day of Judgment. Because Allah will complete His light and Muslims will continue to visit this place until the Day of Judgment.

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 27 of Surah Al-Hajj. "And proclaim the Hajj among the people. Whether on foot or, coming from many a distant road, on lean camels, mounted, let them come." Allah Almighty invited people to Hajj for the first time; this is that verse. Therefore Hajj began in the time of Abraham (peace be upon him). Abraham (peace be upon him) invited people to Hajj. The people who answered this invitation, whether on foot or on the backs of camels, those who love Allah, bearing every hardship for Allah, to visit the House have come. This visit continues today and will continue until the Day of Judgement.

For Allah will complete His light, and until the Day of Judgement Muslims will go on visiting this place.
