Translation

We have ordained upon all people to sacrifice animals so that they would mention Allah’s name on the animals that We gave to them as provision. Your God is the One and Only God, Allah! Thus, submit to Allah. (Oh My Messenger!) Give glad tidings to the humble (and sincere) ones.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) has commanded the other nations to sacrifice in remembrance of Allah (swt) and to offer sacrifices of what they earn for the sake of Allah (swt) to those in need in the way of Allah (swt).

All Prophets commanded their ummahs to sacrifice and to remember Allah. When slaughtering the sacrifice, they should say (Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, La ilaha illallah huvallahu akbar Allahu akbar walillahil hamd) and after saying this several times, they should say Bismillah Allahu akbar and slaughter the sacrifice in the name of Allah.

The reason for the sacrifice is that Allah (swt) has commanded people to sacrifice, so that the name of Allah (swt) may be remembered and people may know that there is no other God but Allah (swt). If there is no other God but Allah, and if the God of all creation is Allah, the only God, then O mankind! Submit to Allah and serve Him in obedience and worship. Since Allah's command is obligatory upon mankind, it is a strong wajib in this respect. In this case, the sacrifice is obligatory.

O Habib! O Muhammad! Give glad tidings to my servants who follow Allah's call for the sake of Allah and avoid His commands and prohibitions, with sincerity and without hypocrisy. This glad tidings tells us that Paradise is promised to the righteous servants and that they will remain in Paradise in eternal bliss for eternity.

What is said in the video

We have come to the 34th verse, Surah Al-Hajj, the 34th verse. To every ummah, so that over the animals of a kind suitable for sacrifice that We gave them as provision they mention Allah's name, We made sacrifice necessary. Now, your god is one single God. So submit to Him. O Muhammad, to those sincere and humble people give glad tidings, give glad tidings.

The sacrifice is slaughtered in Allah's name, it is not slaughtered in the name of idols; to idols no sacrifice is offered. So these God-fearing people, those sincere, no, not sincere but humble people, give them glad tidings. It is only to fulfil what our Lord, besides whom there is no god, the one God, has said; otherwise Allah has no need of the sacrifice; so that Allah Almighty may feed meat to His servants, this He commands of us. Yes, along with making known that people should (?) to Allah Almighty and, with the sacrifices they slaughter from what they earned for Allah, in Allah's way (?) give in charity, Allah Almighty has also commanded the other ummahs to offer sacrifice.

All prophets commanded their ummahs to offer sacrifice and to remember Allah. When slaughtering the sacrifice, saying Allahu Ekber, Allahu Ekber, Lâ ilâhe illallahu vallahu Ekber, Allahu Ekber ve lillâhi'l-hamd, and after repeating this several times, saying Bismillah, Allahu Ekber, the sacrifice should be slaughtered in Allah's name. The reason for slaughtering the sacrifice: so that Allah's name may be mentioned and it may make known to people that there is no other god besides Allah, Allah Almighty commanded people to offer sacrifice. Since there is no other god besides Allah, and the god of all created beings is the one God, Allah, then, O people, submit to Allah and, with obedience and worship, be servants to Him. Since Allah Almighty's command is fard upon people, in this respect it is a strong wajib. In this case, sacrificing is like a fard.

It is like a fard. And when the sacrifice is slaughtered and the poor and needy eat it, their faith too grows stronger. Why? What a beautiful feast my Lord has created, what a beautiful principle He has laid down; while not even a kilo of meat a year comes into our home, look, He feeds us meat. So it is a truth, he says. Yes, their faith is renewed.
