Al-Hajj 36: And We made Allah’s signs for you from cattles as well. So, while they are on their feet, mention Allah’s name on them (and slaughter them). Tafsir
Allah (swt) has also made cattle available to people for sacrifice. There is good for people from these sacrificial animals. This is both worldly and spiritual good. Worldly benefits: These animals are utilized for their meat, milk, skins, carrying loads and being used as mounts.
As for the good hereafter, people who embrace Allah's religion for the sake of Allah, abstain from His commands and prohibitions, respond to Allah's invitation, fulfill His command, and sacrifice for the sake of Allah, will receive the mercy of Allah in the Hereafter.
When these animals are sacrificed, Allah (swt) commands that people should eat their meat, and that it should be given to those in need, and that it should be given to people who do not seek their needs from anyone other than Allah (swt), and that it should be given to those who are known to be poor and in need.
The sacrificial animals should be sacrificed in the name of Allah by mentioning the name of Allah while they are standing, and when they fall on their sides, they should be waited for them to die, and when they die, they should be eaten and given to the needy, and then Allah should be thanked. Allah has caused these sacrificial animals to be slaughtered in order that people may thank Him and declare that there is no other God but Allah. In this regard, Allah declares what is to be sacrificed to Allah from small and large cattle.
What is said in the video
Verse 36. From the cattle too, We have made for you sacrificial animals among the signs of Allah's religion. There is good for you in them. So, while they stand on their feet, mention Allah's name over them and sacrifice them. And when they fall on their sides, once their life has left them, of them eat yourselves, and also feed the poor who hide their need, who hide it, and who do not hide it. Feed the poor who hide their need and who do not hide it. We have given these animals for your benefit so that you may be grateful. People are in need. But they feel ashamed, for Allah's sake. They are ashamed to ask from people.
You recognize them by their faces, it says. If you know their situation, give to them too, it says. Yes.
Allah Almighty has given the cattle for people's benefit, to be sacrificed. In these sacrificial animals there is good for people. These are both worldly and otherworldly goods. The worldly goods: from these animals' meat, milk, hides, their carrying of loads, up to their use as mounts, one benefits. The otherworldly good is that people who, for Allah, embrace Allah's religion, mindful of His commands and prohibitions, answer Allah's call, carry out His command and offer the sacrifice, attain Allah's mercy in the world of the hereafter. These animals (?): of their meat, people should eat themselves and also give to the needy; and Allah Almighty commands it be given to people who, saying He knows my state, lay their need before none but Allah, and also to the known poor and needy – this He commands. The sacrificial animals, while standing, with Allah's name mentioned, should be sacrificed in Allah's name, and when they fall on their side, one should wait for their life to leave.
After their life has left, once one has eaten of their meat and given to the needy as well, one should give thanks to Allah. Allah has these sacrificial animals slaughtered so that thanks be given to Him and to declare to people that there is no other god besides Allah. In this respect, Allah declares which of the small and large livestock are to be sacrificed to Allah.
