And verily, there are lessons for you in animals. We make you drink from what they have in their stomachs (their milk). There are many benefits in them for you and you eat from their meat.
Tafsir
Allah (swt) also shows animals to mankind as an example. Each animal community has its own laws and duties. Allah (swt) has programmed these animals for their work and put them at the service of human beings.
He has informed people about the animals whose meat and skins are to be utilized, and people benefit from the milk and meat of these animals. He has not imposed any prohibition on these animals. Whatever he has from his intestines, fat, liver, kidneys, whatever he has, he has made it halal for people.
There are also many other benefits to humans from these animals. Shoes are made from their skins, and some animals are used for tilling the soil in the fields and carrying loads.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-Mu'minun, verse 21. In the animals there are surely lessons for you. We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, of their milk. In them there are many more benefits for you. And of their meat you eat, it says. Allah Almighty shows the animals too to people as lessons. Each animal community has, separately, laws and duties of its own. Allah Almighty programmed these animals for the work they are to do and placed them at people's service. He made known to people the animals whose meat and hides are to be used, People benefit from the milk and meat of these animals. No prohibition has been placed on people regarding these animals.
Intestines, fat, liver, kidney, whatever they have, He has made lawful for people. Moreover, these animals have many more benefits for people. Shoes are made from their hides; some animals we use to plough the field, the soil, and to carry loads.
For example, among large livestock there is also the camel, of the cattle kind there are oxen and cows; among small livestock there are sheep and goats. Although each of them eats the same grass, they eat different grasses. For example, take the water buffalo: it eats the grasses growing in marshes, among the reeds; its food is different. Goats gnaw the leaves of thorny flowers, the leaves of trees; that carries a different nourishment too. The sheep, it too, by eating grass, carries a different nourishment. In this case, although they eat the same things, although they give the same milk, different flavours and nutrients are found in those milks.
Thanks be to Allah, we are in a nice setting here. Around us there is goat milk, sheep milk, cow milk, buffalo milk. There is, I mean, whatever you want you can get, right at hand. We usually go and buy buffalo milk. Well, every fifteen days or so it goes, ten kilos of milk we buy. The wife boils it nicely, and from that milk roughly nearly a kilo of cream comes out.
The wife makes a pot of yogurt, and she also takes the yogurt cream from it.
Today at seven lira a kilo, ten litres of milk makes seventy lira. For seventy lira, maybe one kilo of cream, and the wife also takes more than half a kilo of cream. Yogurt cream. So the milk comes free. In this case, the blessings Allah Almighty has offered to people we can never finish counting. Yes.
